Great usage of the word cannibalize. Love it! :laugh2:

Try not to feed off the "No Excuses" thread BillyKilmer started at ES.

That is just there to make an excuse for Commanders fans to prematurely judge Cowboy fans.

Worry about your own favorite team.

Not really. Again, I tend to put my money where my mouth is, which is at the betting table in Vegas

As much as I hate the cowboys, an objective fan can see the amount of talent on the team as well as the fact that every key contributor comes back with additions

Now really, why on earth would there be any excuses to not with the NFC (again, barring Romo or TO going down)

And another post about ES on CZ. I swear, if I got a nickel every time....

There are no excuses for your 'Boys this year. You are loaded at QB, WR, RB, D-line, LB, DB's, and coaching

Anything less then a Superbowl is a dissapointment with the talent and continuity coming back (barring injury of course)

I'm normally all for bashing skins fans since I spent over six years in the Washington DC area, but I'm not sure why there is poking at SkinsHokieFan over this statement. I suspect Jerry Jones is probably thinking the same thing.

I think most of us are thinking SB. But it is incredibly hard to make the SB. And win it. Ask the Pats.

I'm sure Jerry is thinking the same thing. So am I. Unfortunately, the pressure to win it all may be the only thing that stands in our way (other than potential injuries of course). Hopefully this team has the character and grit to withstand the tremendous pressure to get it done this eyar.

I whole-heartedly agree -- in fact -- I cannot argue with the predictions of the Skins being last in the NFC East. Too many questions surrounding that team to predict otherwise.

The most important thing is TO staying healthy.

And really, the number of times ES is referenced on this site is out of control...I am beginning to think people are jealous :)

I don't see why the Skins should be put in the cellar although I would agree that either Philly or the Skins will be there at the end. I think they could still be a playoff club. I would put them in the cellar based on a new coach and the absence of their old DC. Put I wouldn't bet any money on them being the cellar dweller. You're right about their being too many questions. I hope we don't take them lightly.

This division is insanely good -- easily the hardest division -- although the AFC South is pretty good too. I said in another post a couple of weeks ago. The last place team could potentially win the other divisions in the conference -- with the exception of maybe Seattle.

The Skins may finish last -- but they have a lot of talent. I am very much looking forward to seeing how Devin Thomas and Malcolm Kelly develop.

A few reasons why, to at least start the season

1) A healthy DMcnabb coming back as well as that D growing towards the end of the year for Philly

2) The Giants returning everyone

3) The Cowboys returning everyone

So just from a continuity stand point, the deck is already stacked. 3 teams have guys with QB's in the prime of their career who are coming back in the same system they have played the last few seasons in. All key starters come back

Another team has a new coach with a vastly new system and as of now a talented yet unproven QB and lots of rookies and young guys looking at playing time

Although -- you do know what has followed every Giants Super Bowl win ;)

it can't be set up better then the cowboys had last year, and they laid a egg at home..it's hard to win 13 games in the nfl and i don't see you coming close to that number this season..what excuse will it be this year?:)

Are u being serious right now? Your team is pathetic. You girls may never win 13 games for the rest of your lifetime. Jim Zorn? Hahahahahah.

I'd think about the decrepit state of your hapless franchise a little more thoroughly before getting on here and talking trash about Dallas. I'm happy that you're relishing in the little wild card victory from a couple years ago with Gibbs and Brunell (your savior coach/QB tandem) leading the troops into becoming a divisional round playoff laughing stock. Following that "successful" season up with a last place finish in the division was a pretty neat trick. You guys are so cute. I guess it reflects on how solid of a team yall have built this decade with all those big free agent contracts.

Don't worry about Dallas, sweetheart. Just get some popcorn, a comfy chair and a soda ready because your team will be drafting pretty early in the first round next year...assuming they don't trade the pick away for another one of Snyder's jackpot commodities. Perhaps Brandon Lloyd will be back on the trading block by then? Hopefully.

Maybe if you go to Six Flags more, Snyder will have enough money to sign another one of our has-been 38 year old veterans to a multi-million dollar contract. Then you guys would look even cuter out there in last place.

All this from a UVA fan. Gots to be real fun, losing 8 of 9 to the Hokies (all of those 8 losses by double digits including such scores as 52-14, 42-21, 31-7, 33-21, 24-10) and 4 of 6 to the Commanders :)

I understand why you'd make such an ignorant rant. After all no outright ACC football titles ever and your favorite football team, after blowing a home playoff game, has the burden of expectations (while being supremely talented). I thought you folks in C-Ville were so educated too.

Question: What are the Cowboys' chances to go all the way this season? Scott Collier, Edinburg, Texas

The Cowboys have a quarterback in Tony Romo who can win in this league, a defense that can apply pressure and a few playmakers like Terrell Owens. That adds up to Dallas likely being in the hunt.
Coach Wade Phillips has the demeanor to lead these players and keep an even keel. The NFC East is brutal and there are questions surrounding DB Roy Williams, as well as the second wide receiver and possibly the nose tackle positions. My fear for the Cowboys is the same worry I have for the Giants, Eagles and Commanders. They may cannibalize themselves during the season leaving very little for the deep playoff run.

I predict each NFCE team will have a 3-3 inter-division record, where all of their wins will be at home, and all of their losses will be on the road.

You just don't quite understand the difference do you? He's not on a Hokies board talking trash like some Skins fans do here. The Commanders aren't anywhere near the same level as the Cowboys as a franchise, yet most Skins' fans think they have a superior group out there. You could sweep us twice a season for the next decade and win 2 superbowls in that same time span, and only then you would be good enough to say you were equals with us. Don't come to our site and expect us to think of your as equals. It's not even close!

As to your current situation, how many Commanders would actually start for the Cowboys this year? I'd surmise that it isn't that many. :D

I love it!!!

Are you SERIOUSLY bringing in college football talk cause you had nothing else to say in support of your beloved Commanders? HAHAHAHAHA.

Guys, are the Commanders so pathetic that their fans have been forced to defend them with things that completely do not relate?

What next, your mom can bake better, so it means the Commanders don't suck? I'm sorry, but your mom's peach cobbler does NOT make up for Snyder's idea (miserably stolen from Weekend at Bernie's I might add) of propping up the decaying corpse of Joe Gibbs for 4 seasons while Saunders and Williams threw hissy fits over who got to take credit for the weekly losses. My little "rant" was actually quite truthful, and judging how you've lost all sanity and have started to go off about college sports in an NFL forum, it probably hit a nerve and you finally realized that you've wasted about two decades of your time, money, and essentially your life rooting for a pathetic team. Maybe the next time you have to park at Six Flags to watch a home game, you can talk Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd into suiting up for that miserable offense the Skins try to run. WAIT...actually I'm sure Jim Zorn, based off his experiences from a successful Hall of Fame NFL career, will be able to fix stuff without having to call on Daffy Duck to play flanker. Hahaha, who are we kidding, I really just wanted to say "Jim Zorn" again because it's just soooo funny.

Also, Maryland has an excellent gymnastics team. You should use that in your next argument against the Cowboys.
:laugh2:

And congrats on becoming by far my favorite Skins fan ever (and that's saying A LOT because an entire history of being Dallas' ***** has made most of you girls quite delusional but you've taken it to a whole new level).

You must not only be a Hokie fan, but also an alumnus. Based off Tech's admission standards, it makes a lot of sense.

GO COWBOYS :starspin
