ARTICLE: Balanced NFC East will put Cowboys to ultimate test

You just don't quite understand the difference do you? He's not on a Hokies board talking trash like some Skins fans do here. The Commanders aren't anywhere near the same level as the Cowboys as a franchise, yet most Skins' fans think they have a superior group out there. You could sweep us twice a season for the next decade and win 2 superbowls in that same time span, and only then you would be good enough to say you were equals with us. Don't come to our site and expect us to think of your as equals. It's not even close!

As to your current situation, how many Commanders would actually start for the Cowboys this year? I'd surmise that it isn't that many. :D

I actually agree with you. I don't come here to hear "the Commanders rule" because I get enough of that in my own circle. But when I see some ignorance, as I did with UVAWAHOOS, well I am gonna call him out on it

Right now, based on every objective criteria, the East should end up as follows: Cowboys, Giants, Eagles, Commanders, with the top 3 making the playoffs, the Cowboys as the number 1 seed again, and the Giants as the number 5 seed and Iggles number 6. The question is, will the Cowboys **** the bed again in round 1, or actually win a playoff game for the first time since I was in 9th grade?

The Commanders will probably be anywhere from 6-10 to 8-8. And I can live with that this year, as long as there is an upswing to end the season and I see guys like Thomas, Kelly, Rinehart, Montgomery, Landry, and Blades start to make an impact

Of course 2 wins against the Cowboys would be icing on the cake. Playoffs, I'll feel like I did with the Washington Capitals, on top of the world

I love it!!!

Are you SERIOUSLY bringing in college football talk cause you had nothing else to say in support of your beloved Commanders? HAHAHAHAHA.

Hahaha, who are we kidding, I really just wanted to say "Jim Zorn" again because it's just soooo funny.

Also, Maryland has an excellent gymnastics team. You should use that in your next argument against the Cowboys.
:laugh2:

And congrats on becoming by far my favorite Skins fan ever (and that's saying A LOT because an entire history of being Dallas' ***** has made most of you girls quite delusional but you've taken it to a whole new level).

You must not only be a Hokie fan, but also an alumnus. Based off Tech's admission standards, it makes a lot of sense.

GO COWBOYS :starspin

Proud alum, class of 2004, GWU class of 2008, and life is pretty good, thank you very much. And its too easy to push the buttons of UVA fans, in particular if they are Cowboy fans

Odds are you jumped on the bandwagon around 1993, and have stuck on since. You can't jump off the UVA bandwagon though since your collar is popped so high, and you are trying to find Carruthers to play polo with.

Regardless, your rant was idiotic and had nothing to do with football, nor did your response. As you can see in this thread I have stuck to talking football until I had to ***** slap a Wahoo around, which happens frequently since Wahoo-Cowboy fans seem to live in a bubble world.

I'll just speak to your other Cowboy brethren on this board who tend to have a bit more of sense then you do. If you wish to actually speak football, talk about the situation now (instead of asinine comments about trading number 1 picks for Brandon Lloyd, as opposed for 2 number 1 picks for Joey Galloway, or saying "Jim Zorn" when I can just say "Wade Phillips", who has as many playoff wins as Jim Zorn), please, be my guest. But since you have not experienced any post season success with either one of your teams in over a decade, I really don't expect a football discussion with you. I'll stick to talking to the intelligent members of this board.

Cool. This seems like a pretty unbiased opinion. I'm just curious though for discussion sake. What Commanders do you think would start for the Cowboys if they were on the team? I'm guessing maybe Santana Moss as a #2 WR (even though many Skins fans were calling for his head last year). Chris Samuels at one of the tackle spots opposite Flozell. Randy Thomas at left guard. Portis would be a wash with the Marion Barber and Felix Jones combo. Andre Carter somewhere on defense. Is there anybody else I'm missing?

Who would start on the Cowboys?

Moss would be the number 2 at WR

I'd take Portis over your RB's

I love Cooley, but Witten is better. I'd put Cooley as a very good number 2

Samuels for sure at LT. A healthy Randy Thomas at RG

On D, seeing how the schemes are different its tough. I don't like Andre Carter as a LB, none of our d-lineman individually would fit into the 3-4. You could play London Fletcher as an inside linebacker, and I would take Laron Landry any day over Roy Williams

So that would mean Moss, Portis, Samuels, Thomas on O, and Landry and Fletcher on D. Again the scheme of the 4-3 vs 3-4 kinda throws things off, although I like your front 7 better then ours, but am a fan of our back 4 (and would be a bigger fan if ST didn't pass away)

Unfortunately, intelligence is not a Hokie trait, unless of course you chose to spend 4 years on a farm 7 hours away from civilization. In reality, people do not attend that school by choice.

Just admit that you didn't get into UVA like the rest of your schoolmates already have. It's obvious anyway with all the bitter UVA hate you've been whining out loud.

And I think that I already addressed your ability to talk football. You're the one who brought up the Hokies in this NFL forum. That was a bit off subject so I'm not too sure where your "intelligence" ran off to then.

And once again, there was a lot of truth in this "rant" that you threw your hissy fit about. You just projected your team to finish last in the division. Well doesn't that mean they would draft early in the first round next year? Ok, I thought so. Isn't Dan Snyder the primary shareholder of Six Flags? Yep, I think so. Didn't Joe Gibbs stand around like a confused Alzheimer's patient for 4 years? Yes again.

So basically, I have talked lots of football. The only thing is that the Commanders have been the focal point, and unfortunately there just isn't much more to talk about when considering the quality of football they put out every Sunday. Start rooting for a better team, and maybe you'll get to have better discussions.

Now go fetch your thesaurus and try to figure out what some of these big words meant, Hokie.

That's not entirely true, and I think you'll find that sort of unqualified BS doesn't get much play from the "intelligent" posters on the forum.

...and while UVA offers an excellent education, I personally find the thought of attending UVA is nauseating...like a pop collared wonderland.

People have different tastes, and you'd do well to remember that...but at least you got the Cowboy part right. ;)
