Don't patronize us! We realize the Texans are well the Texans, at least Dallas beat them by more than two touchdowns so take that!;)

Listen, I know I'm an opponent fan in on your home MB, but you sound as though you would recognize common sense. That said, I have no logical reason to be condescending to [us?] you. I certainly don't owe you an explanation, however it just makes no sense for me to try to "butter up" the performance you displayed last Sunday.

Remember this ...a win is another step toward the ultimate goal. Doesn't matter if you win by 1-point or to a team that is 1-4 ...you win against the teams you are supposed to win and you win contagiously from then on out. I'm certainly not implying that you will win every game for the remainder of the season; even if that would be the ideal situation.

You and I may have gotten off on the wrong foot. Ask another Cowboys fan that's been here for a while. They'll tell you that even though they may at times dislike my perspectives, I'm not going to patronize you.

Now, ...I will straight out "needle" you, but it's never poisenal (oops ...that's my East coast accent).

If you know what numbers are important and what wins football games, then it's pretty obvious that Dallas is a better football team and a team still well short of its potential, while the Eagles are somewhat overrated.

Dallas has the No. 3t rushing offense in the NFL and is No. 1 against the run. Those are big-time rankings. That's a recipie for playing late into January. Dallas has the No. 6 offense and the No. 6 defense. They have the top punter in the NFL and the top kickoff returner in the NFC. They are a complete team with few flaws. Does that mean they don't have issues? Or course not. They have to beat good teams on the field.

Philadelphia is ranked 26th in defense and 27th against the pass. Of course you can claim they gave up garbage yards, but it's a lie. In their three close games, the opposition repeatedly drove down the field with ease with the game on the line. In every way possible. The Giants made big play after big play through the air. The Cowboys used a big penalty to move right down the field. And the Saints used a time-consuming grind-it-out drive to win. In fact, ESPN claims their drive to run out the clock and win on the final play was the third-longest in time used in NFL history.

The Eagles are fourth from the bottom in time of possession. The other three teams -- Houston, Oakland and Tennessee -- are 2-14.

These are clear-cut stats that cannot be spun. And clear evidence that Dallas is a better team headed in a better direction.

And that's why you see the Philadelphia media pointing out as much.

Jeffrey Lurie (born September 8, 1951) is a former Hollywood producer turned NFL team owner. Lurie bought the Philadelphia Eagles on May 6, 1994 from then owner Norman Braman. Lurie paid $195 million for the team and now the team is estimated to be worth $1.024 billion, as valuated in 2006 by Forbes.

Since becoming owner of the Eagles, Lurie has been named NFL "Owner of the Year by The Sporting News in 1995 and by Pro Football Insider in 2000. He is also responsible for helping push through the deal to build a new $512 million, 68,500-seat football stadium, now called Lincoln Financial Field.

Before purchasing the Eagles, Lurie served as the president and chief executive officer of Chestnut Hill Productions, a Los Angeles-based film company, which he founded in 1985.

Prior to entering business, Lurie served as an adjunct assistant professor of social policy at Boston University. Lurie earned a B.A. from Clark University, a master's degree in psychology from Boston University

Don't get me wrong, I'm no Baseball enthusiast, and you could still be correct - but you'd have to prove you didn't fabricate that segment of the joke.

Let's not kid ourselves. The Eagles are very good team. Period. While they are not perfect, they have some terrific players on defense, including DT and the defensive backfield. Even with the loss of Kearse, they are a threat to sack a QB on virtually any play. While they may not have great depth at LB, some of their guys play quite well in Johnson's scheme.
On offense, the team is pretty much dependent on McNabb. If he plays as well as he can, they are very hard to stop. Westbrook, when healthy, is a great complement to McNabb, primarily as a pass receiver. The coaching staff continues to make sound football decisions.

Where are the weaknesses? While they've improved at WR, that is still not one of their strong suits. Westbrook is a terrific player, but his durability has been an issue. They have a great pass rush, but if teams can get to Trotter, they can be run on.

Are they as good as they believe ? The fact that many quoted players are looking forward to playing a "complete game" tells me that they are hungry and not buying into the hype. Any team that underestimates these guys will pay for it.

Blah, blah, blah...they still don't have jack to show for it!! I give them NO respect until they show me a Lombardi...until then, they are no better then the Cardinals or any other team without the prize...

I'll be waiting, until then, the eagles are irrelevent, and so are their "fandoms" !

I think the owner of the Marlins is Jeff Loria, or something close to that.

allright, lets get down to whats really important........

Are the eagles a good bet over TB this week, favored bt 4.

I took cincin last week and that BS play at the end of the game that was overturned cost me.

Im thinking of loading up on the eagles, they almost always bounce back after a loss, and you have to think that J Johnsons defense is going to be all over that rookie QB.

Plus TB gave up a lot of passing yards but hardly any rushinh yards to bengals through their oline was in bad shape. To me that means a big day for mcnabb and 3-4 turnovers for the defense.

Im in the hole but this looks like as good a game as any to get healthy again.

Philly has a good team. I just don't like them though. I don't like the way they carry themselves. I don't like the attitude.

My nephew lives in Philly but he is a Buccaneers fan. We have a Little "gentlemen's wager" traditionally. But this year I almost feel guilty baiting him into this ...wager. You see, the Bucs have too many player injured to go up against an NFC-East team. Now Here's the clincher ...they are playing with a "rookie" at quaterback!

I can't tell tyou what to do hoov, but I'm placing my wager with the Eagles on this game.

It starts and stops with McNabb. He plays well, the Eagles have a shot at winning. He doesn't show up, and they're one of the worst teams in the league.

Fortunately for Philly he's having a MVP-caliber season.

Take off the homer glasses, and realize, McNabb = best QB in NFC. No doubt.

He was hurt last year.

If anyone is doubting this guy, regardless of big game perfomances, he desreves respect.
