Sounds like Bill learnexd from his Dallas experience and Jimmy Johnsons mistakes when he took over the Fin's.

That's don't hold on to aging players on such a bad team. I wish he would have done that sooner here in Dallas.

I think the whole Dancing with Stars gig hastened a meeting that ended badly for Jason.

Last thing Parcells wants around is an aging star, with higher opinions of his talent level whose first priority is no longer football but expects to make big $.

Buh Bye - It's not like this was a 5-6 win team with him. It was 1-15.

Hats off to Ireland on this move - so far he's making all the right calls, guided some albeit.

Zach Thomas had to have known about these developments.

I'd tell you right now, if Dallas has a plan that could include bringing in Jason Taylor for a couple of years, on a deal close to what Zach is willing to do, what a huge signing this could be.

Jason is still a very impactful player and I'd sign him, move Ellis to DE for pass rushing situations only and have Zach and Jason holding down the weakside inside and outside LBer/DE positions in a heartbeat.

With Canti/Spears, Ware and Brady James on the opposite side..our 3-4 would just make the Jints pass rush look like it was standing still.

I know most here would think this beyond doing, but you never know.

Like Zach, Jason probably wants a shot at that ring and playing with Zach would sure be easier for him going forward.

One can only dream. Again, if BP releases him, we'd have to ask him to at least come in and give us a look. We can also offer Emmitt Smith as a coach for his dancing if needed.

We got all the angles to make this work...hahaha..but no money..blahh..

How does that explain Keyshawn Johnson, Jason Ferguson, and his whole coaching career in general?

I'd take him here. Maybe Zach can help make it happen.

You and me both. I would've liked to take him before ZT. Can you imagine the rotation? Ware , Ellis, Spencer, Taylor! whoooo! :laugh2:

Not me... Akin sucked in pass coverage and he got confused. that weakness prevented them from getting aggressive up-front..

Dallas brought in Zach to shore up one of their biggest weaknesses... Jason Taylor would not have resolved that...

TUNA DENIES THAT TAYLOR IS DONE IN MIAMI
Posted by Mike Florio on March 2, 2008, 11:53 a.m.
On Saturday, Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports reported that the Dolphins and defensive end Jason Taylor are headed for an amicable divorce.

In response, Dolphins V.P. of football operations Bill Parcells says that Taylor won’t be leaving.

Parcells told Chris Mortensen of ESPN that Taylor’s options for 2008 will be to play for the Fins, or to retire.

“This latest report is just another example of journalistic irresponsibility,” Parcells said.

Ouch.

Though we’re not sure how this is all going to play out, we strongly believe that Taylor isn’t interested in playing for the Dolphins in 2008. So if the choice is to play for the Fins or pack it in, Taylor might very well do the latter.

Especially if this Dancing With The Stars thing ends up being the gateway to the kind of Hollywood career that guys like Matt Leinart and Braylon Edwards can only dream of.

but, but its all roy williams' fault! I hear you with the linebacker being our biggest weakness but I still think adding Taylor to our passrush rotation is an upgrade.
