Article: Jason Taylor says Merriman not deserving

Not by me. We had a guy here tell us he was dirty before the draft. Lo and behold, he tests dirty. No surprise from me. I think he'll test dirty again too. He may have some designer stuff for now, but he'll flub up.

Has he been hanging out with Barry Bonds? :D

It's unconscionable that the league and its partners have turned a blind eye to this. If I'm commish, here's my rule:

- get caught for steroid use, expelled for one calendar year, forfeit salary, prorated signing bonus - must be tested clean before allowed back in. Subject to rigorous random testing for rest of career

- get caught again, permanently banned from league, forfeit salary, prorated signing bonus

I agree, but I wonder if he played for the Cowboys how much apologizing would be going on for him in this forum. :(

A whole heck of Alot.

Agree 100% with Jason Taylor.

When I read the thread title, my initial thought was that it was Lawrence Taylor. How ironic would THAT have been?

Taylor has a valid point.......hope Taylor wins the award or Ware of course

I found it funny and sad that when they were talking about this story last night on NFL Network, Jamie Dukes said it appeared that Taylor was out there lobbying for himself for DMVP by trying to bring down Merriman with his statement.

He did say that he agreed with what he was saying, but thought he shouldn't have said it in his position.

God forbid someone speak the truth, like one of Merriman's peers, since it's getting swept under the rug by everyone else.

It's annoying that noone made a big deal out his testing positive in the first place, including those media outlets outside of ESPN. All I seemed to notice was "how much of a beast he is" when he came back. Only a blip on the radar screen.

Unofortunate that these "analysts" are so okay with Steroid use and not okay with outspoken players who are cancers to their teams. Before I get blasted for being a TO apologist, I would like to point out that I am not okay with either.

I always liked Taylor, and he really scored big last year ripping Terrell Owens a new one. He's candid and speaks is mind.
