This would be a nice pick up. Not sure why he was released though.

i'd really like to know why the pats released him, they need as much defensive help as they can get

I heard he refused to make out with Belichek after he had busted Freeman's hotel room door down at 3am one night

Should be able to get him for cheap...I am for signing him...We need depth especially as we prepare for a playoff run...

I heard he dissed Belicheck's grey hoodie :D

I really wouldn't mind this pick up I think Freeman can be a solid contributer

As hurting as they are at safety, I don't see what use he would be if they released him to re-sign Mike Cloud.

He is their version of Tony Dixon. There for depth but a sure cut if something better comes along or is needed.

I dont' see it, and I dont' see the infactuation w/ him on this board, everytime he's released, his name pops up on here, only to see the Cowboys not make a move on him, don't know why they would this time around, when they just signed 2 safeties to backup Keith and insurance in case Pile can't get over his injury, you don't sign someone, only to drop him within a week because a supposed, "better option" is released

I'd rather take my chances with Dixon

David

I agree and for one reason...because dixon would probably be cheaper and chances are dixon is only here until Pile is better.

That is why I am not too upset with dixon back on the team as I view him as only a short term player.

I do not have much trouble with scott as a backup and ST teams player....for now as chances are we will upgrade the position in the offseason if Piles/Davis does not solidify the job.

He is the Ross Verba of safeties.

The old "I heard of him so he must be good" internet GM technique.
