As always, I will still travel to opening day!

Nice and you survived to tell about it.
Eagles had a pretty good defense back then Reggie White and Jerome Brown Clyde Simmons Seth joiner
Definitely not a cakewalk to beat them at home with that defense
Kelvin Martin's 85 yard punt return was probably the games biggest play.

I was supposed to go with my wifes uncle. He kind of forgot it was his son's 1st birthday, so he couldnt go and I went by myself.

Ironically, the cousin that I mentioned passing away on the 1st post on this thread, is the same one that had his 1st birthday causing me to go to the game by myself.

I hope you enjoy yourself because that is what it's supposed to be about. Unfortunately, I cannot spend anymore money on the team while they are operated by a clueless and narcissistic owner.
I always laugh at that part. If the Cowboys had a Patrick Mahomes and went on a streak like the current Chiefs are on, I suspect you all of the sudden wouldnt be too concerned about the owner.

I cannot believe you are clueless to just how inept Jerry Jones is at structuring an NFL football team.
Since you are slow at understanding this fact, I present the last 30 years of playoff failures as evidence. All these failures during the post Jimmy era.

Thank you for clearing me up with that amazing evidence......smh. Your brilliance is truly something to behold.

As has been the case for basically the last 17 years, my wife and at least 1 of my daughters will make the trip for opening day in Arlington. I dont care about all this crying, or what they do or dont do. Football and this team is in my blood. Memories are made on these trips. How much it costs? who cares. We are fortunate that a couple grand isnt putting us on the streets.

Life is short, do what you do for fun and enjoy it while you can. Soon enough, Ill be an old guy like couch coach and wont be going anywhere. Then I will sit at home on my computer and whine 24/7 like 85% of you.

By the way, drink of the night is a bee sting. Gin, honey liquor, lemon juice and chile liquor.

My cousin, a military vet and war vet died last night at age 35. Try to live your life being a little more happy. It is way to short to spend it bi..... everyday.

I have decided to go completely opposite. Haven’t decided about any away games yet, but I plan on saving and not giving Jerry about 23-27k this year.

A fool and his money are soon parted. Just sayin.
Sorry for your loss.
OBTW you can make memories on a vacation. Go on Safari.

This site isnt about analysis. It is a place where most just come to b and moan everyday.
As always there’s a few extremes on both sides who try and dominate the airwaves .

Once you get past or ignore there's actually some opinions providing analysis.

With the lack of success this era compared to our glorious history there’s going to be some discontent.

I know, but doesn't the negativity get old...some do it, just to screw with others, that's why i do it, but sometimes, it's best to keep your mouth shut
I scroll on through most of the threads. And there’s only a few opinions I’m interested in. That’s how I treat most of the media and social media. I’m not interested in much of the noise.

When your franchise isnt having as much success especially compared to our glorious history there’s going to be more of a negative or sarcastic overtone. The lack of success gets old too and what is driving the disposition of most fans .

Pour in our dysfunctional situation with ownership and it creates a very frustrated fanbase. I’d be surprised if there wasn’t more cynical and negative outlook.

It speaks volumes that the Cowboys are still as popular . All of the fans haven’t left yet. We are complaining all the way to the bank .

Right. It goes both ways.

He hung the moon in the 90’s and has yet to come close since. That’s the problem.

No one should get a pass for life. Most don’t in sports. It’s always about what have you done lately.

I think Cowboy fans in DFW are mostly aligned . We still love and support our local football franchise while calling out and despising our owners intent on not changing his ways.

It speaks volumes with our frustration this era that we still support our franchise . Some fans have walked away but most are just very disappointed and discontent.

We still show up and tune in on TV. But we don’t sit by quietly. And some think we should be more rebellious.

I can only speak for those closet to me in that while we have become cynical and apathetic we still watch and want to have more success.

We can still love our Cowboys while hating our owner. Much like some love our country while hating its leadership.

That's also way too young to be passing away.

I realize things are different today. People hold 1st birthday parties or their kid. Back in the 70s and 80s, no one cared about that from what I remember. They had a party for their kid when the kid was old enough to realize it was his birthday. Don't get me wrong, it was still celebrated, just not in a way that would have you change plans.

and you make assumptions, you know what they say when you assume?
We have a time share in Vegas and one in Cancun. We go on cruises, and even weekend trips to places like Seattle just because airfair was cheap. . We didnt get to the point where we have the money to do these things all the time by being a fool. Someone so concerned about the money to go to a football game, probably shouldnt be going to football games.

He was a combat engineer in the army as well as a Sniper. When he returned from Afghanistan he was never able to adjust. Drank himself to death, literally.

Sounds like youre part of the problem

Thx for the heads up

Diehard fans of losing teams are some of the best.

Like my Dad taught me early on being a Baylor fan who suks most of the time. “ anyone can root for a winner but it builds character rooting for a loser.”

We just didn’t expect after 4 successful decades to become a less successful franchise. But at least we have a good excuse. Lol
My post wasnt about fans in general. And it wasnt about rooting for a losing team.
