ok first of all we have a QB ok deal with it Romo is our guy and he is a top 10 QB in the league, we will all see just how important he is in the next few weeks. that being said NO WAY we go QB 1st rd. We will have a top 10 pick we need OL LB and S. anyone of you saying QB rd 1 has no clue.

They cannot go QB in the first round...if they somehow finish in the bottom five and some team is desperate to move up to get one...they could get a king's ransom back and fill some large holes.

Kind of depends on our record and where we are drafting.

If Romo is out for 8 weeks, we could wind up going 2-12 before he comes back, which would mean a 2-14 to 4-12 record which would probably put us close to #3 or #4 overall. Carolina is probably going to stink and stick with Claussen. Buffalo needs a QB. So does SF. So I think the QB thing isn't realistic (although I don't think Jerry had any plans of getting a QB anyway).

Personally, I'd prefer to get an OT in the first round. We could either move him to LT his rookie year and move Free to RT. Or we could move the rookie to RT for his first season and then once he gets experience, move him back to his LT and switch Free to RT.

I'd go with a center in the second round. We could move Gurode to guard or the rook to guard for a season and then back to center. Then get a corner in the 3rd to compete with Scandrick at the #3 CB spot. Then a safety in the 4th round.

Ponder? Are you kidding?

Devine is too small. We need a full-time back not some gimmick.

O-line, Corner, Safety...

Cut/Let Go: Brooking, Sensabaugh, Scandrick, Davis, Colombo, Barber

Sign: Free Safety (Otogwe?), some young O-Linemen...not Mankins.

if we have a chance at Andrew Luck, I'd take him over anyone else in this upcoming draft, he's going to be a stud QB in this league. Time to bring someone in to push Romo, he's thirty and he doesn't appear to be a leader to me. He's been getting a pass for far too long now.

If Luck is gone, I'm all for trading down to accumulate more picks, Dallas needs alot along the offensive line, a safety, inside backer and corner

the Noel Devine pick. It would just add yet another explossive weapon to the current arsenal and he would actually do was Felix is supposed to be doing.

That cat has two nitro tanks for legs.

Here is what I expect Jerry to do;
Round 1:The splahiest non QB, WR, OLB or running back
Round 2: Probably a TE
Round 3: A former spread offense QB from a small directional school, and convert him to WR or KR
Round 4: A small school LB with speed who played in a non-traditional position in College. Projeced to to be a demon on ST.
Round 5: An over weight, under achieving OL who will be projected to be a started in 3 years, after re-shaping his body in the off-seasons.
Round 6: A corner who was injured his last two years in College, but could be a real steal if he can re hab his injuries.
Round 7: A college safety with special team skills that we can convert to nickle linebacker.
Un drafted free agents, our future LT, FS, SS, ILBs, C and Guards. There are some un-covered gems who just need a chance to be stars!

And we'll call it one of the best drafts in the post Jimmy era!

The first three picks should be o-line. The Cowboys are probably going to have a top 10 or maybe even a top 5 pick. They should be looking for trading partners right now to move out of it. The team doesn't need a flashy 1st round pick, it needs solid guys that can be found in the middle.

I'm a FSU fan, and you DO NOT take Ponder in the top 10 picks of the draft. He isn't playing at the level he was last year. I'd be fine with him later in the draft to compete with Kitna/McGee for the backup spot, but not in the first round.

Lmao! My EXACT thoughts...first of all taking a qb in rd 1 is stupid, taking ponder for that matter is beyond stupid.

If there's no new CBA in place it's going to be damn near impossible to move a top 5 pick. If there's no quality OL that high you have to go with what ever gives you the best value cause who ever you draft that high is going to get payed like a top 5 pick regardless

At this point there doesn't appear to be any offensive lineman who looks worthy of a top 5 selection.

Will these stupid "we need a QB" dopes just stop.

What you people should realize is that we wouldnt take a top 5 QB even if it didnt cost us a tope 5 pick. We will not under any circumstances pay a gamble 70million dollars to sit the bench until they become a free agent.

GET OVER IT!!!

And with the problem we are having at the OLine and safety do you really thunk we should draft a RB? A RB? Seriously? We have a 1st round pick who has averaged almost 6 ypc behind a terrible line that moves no one. And you think we should ignore real issues to draft a RB?

Name a OT or OG worth taking with a top 5 pick

There isn't one... but there's a CB at least two DE/OLB, 1 DE, and one DT..

but he's right.. I seems like some people have a hard time comprehending reality.

Tony Romo is the franchise QB for the Dallas Cowboys. He's going to be around for this current contract and one more. During that time, the Dallas Cowboys WILL NOT select a QB in the 1st round unless TR's career ends before it supposed to.
