As bad as we played...

We were a simple TD run by Romo ( I have no idea why he tried to get that ball to Witten) and a drop by Austin away from being up 14-13 in the third quarter.

I think that is what bugs ne the most. If they just s played football they could have won that game but playing like that crap we saw yesterday was absolutely disgusting.

By the way, Sam Hurd is going to be a pretty good player IMO.

I agree that Tony should have ran for the TD or at the very least the easy 1st down on that play. It makes me wonder if the guys were playing to achive stats than just playing the game.

Hurd dropped some junk, too. I kinda wish Johnson didn't have a rag-arm.

Our defense has really stepped it up recently. I'm sure the Skins feel good that they could pick on Jacques Reeves and Allan Ball, but our defense has risen to the occasion when our offense has faltered (opposite of last season). I can see them putting that all together in the playoffs, and if they do, that's a scary thing for the rest of the league.

Where was Stanback yesterday?

unbelievable to me that in game that they players claimed they didn't show up for...we dont find more playing time for Bobby Carpenter...or that Stanback was not even active

Yeah... the 1st down was definitely there. He is going to need to run in the playoffs. His running for a first down here and there will change the complexion of the game from THERE on out. He needs to do it.

Yeah... he wanted to get Witten the catch and the TD. Thats what it looked like. Its understandable.

Also, I wanted to see one or two of the young offensive tackles play.

Regarding Austin: He has a lot of ability, but dropping two TDs in a game isn't acceptable.

I agree that is the sense I got on the play. Tony had an easy run to get the 1st or the TD but instead tried to get Witten the catch. I would hope in the playoffs under the same circumstances he would take the easy yards. It also makes me wonder if guys were just overall focused on some individual stat more than playing the Skins

Free played, he wasn't very noticeable though.

True, but that's part of why Austn is our 5th WR. He's very talented physically, but if you can't catch, you stay at the bottom of the depth chart.

I can't understand why so many people (not you, aikemirv) are so upset today. I think 90% of it is because we happened to play our biggest rival. But when any team sits out so many of its best players, it's not going to be as good. It's just that simple.

Thats the only reason starters were in for...stats...Wade was perfectly frank about it and it showed in the playcalling.

Is it any surprise at the results?

I'm just happy that we had no major injuries yesterday.

This could have also been part of the reason why Tony didn't attempt to run on that play. I imagine there were a few Commanders licking their chops for a chance lay a hit on Romo.

In ways yes because I think if the players do a better job of focusing on the game at hand the stats will work themselves out as it ended up we played poorly and did not achieve the individual stats they were looking for. I think when you try and force it is when things like we saw last night happen.

Believe me when I say I’m not one who is freaking out over the loss. I was disappointed that we did not do a better job but was not overly shocked that we lost the game.

I figured the Skins who were fighting for their playoff lives would come in sky high and they did but I think had the starters been more focused on the game itself the individual stats would have come and we would have looked better than we did.

There was so much room he could have easily picked up the yards and got out of bounds with the 1st.
