AS: Cowboys' Jaydon Blue Shocking Draft Ranking Revealed

Well this is exaggerating a lot, he would not be the 3rd best RB in this draft, first in Texas in 2024 he was the second RB behind Tre Wisner, an RB similar to Blue but obviously better since he was the starter, second Blue's production clearly for being the 2nd RB never exceeded 700 yards, in 2023 he was the 3rd RB behind Jonathon Brooks who is now with the Panthers and CJ Baxter, although for me it is clear that I like Blue more than RB TreVeyon Henderson who was contemplated for Dallas according to the NFL in the RB ranking there were 18 better RBs before Blue. even so with good coaching and putting together a good duo of runners with Phil Mafah who I also like this RB, these two runners solving the problems they have can have a good impact in Dallas as a duo not individually,
I appreciate your response, and I realize what you are saying, but Jaydon Blue did rush for over 700 yards (730 to be exact) and a 5.4 rushing yards/carry average (very good average) with 8 rushing TDs, 368 yards receiving for an 8.8 receiving yards/reception average with 6 receiving TDs. That comes out to a total scrimmage yardage of roughly 1,100 yards, a 6.2 yards/average and 14 total TDs. Not bad for a part timer who started 2024 as the starter but was relegated to backup due to some fumbling issues early in the season along with suffering a high ankle sprain which limited him all season long until he finally fully recovered in time for the college playoffs where he lit it up once fully healthy from his ankle.

its a nice pick i think. We need a guy that is a threat to break a long one.

But this organization never stops annoying me. So he was their guy and worth a 4th rounder. Then why not trade up and get him? Rather than risking it .
They coulda found a trade partner. This after the fact babble IMO is them trying to make themselves look smart.
On the secret audio it was said they tried several times to trade up.

So be annoyed all you want, Dallas made efforts to move up didn't pan out, still got their guy.. Jerry said McClay was pounding table for Blue 3 days before draft.

I liked the pick, doesn't mean much until we see in on the field though. I think we still need another receiving threat. I am not opposed to running it back with Cooper in this case. Dak and Cooper were generally extremely productive. Even if it is half what it was, it might help CeeDee out and the rest of the offense. Interested to see how much Cooper wants.
I would love Cooper back at the right price. He’d be a good bridge until we draft a WR2 in next year’s draft.

Relax, brother. They'll see when he's on the field wearing the star that he's good. As long as he doesn't get back to the fumbling issue, he'll do great.

I don’t think the league is going to change any rules to mitigate Blue’s penchant for fumbling the ball.
Everybody is aware of his talents - shiftiness and speed.

How will he play when he is bottled up, and NFL players are going for the ball? Not college players, but NFL starting players.

Will he have his top end speed if he is learning how to run while holding the ball a different way?

Schotty and the coaches will have to help this young man reach his potential. He will also have to brace himself for NFL competition.

With all that said I am excited to see how the team can isolate him against defenders and let him find space.

He was ranked really low on the board.

19th I believe.

No one was taking him early.

His super power is his speed.

I hope he works out. Only offensive weapon they added this off season really because of his speed. I don't see how the offense will be better even with Dak fully healthy. All teams have to do is scheme out CeeDee and what's left? Turpin? Tolbert? I am sure other teams are shaking in their cleats.
Mingo Wr2

Turp slot

That’s a ton of speed.
