yes i would love to have newman but the jets offense doesn't scare me too much passing the ball its there run game that is critical to us winning the game. I think scandrick will have to prove his worth now. If he plays good it might force us to either keep newman as a slot or 3rd cb or to get a early look on how he will take his job next year. If scandrick plays lights out newman better watch out. he could be taking the 3rd cb role. Idk how newman would take that though.

Getting phil, spears, and austin back would be alot better than getting newman back. Yes he is our best cb but the jets run game is going to scare me the most along with protection on our offensive line. With costa and spears back (hopefully 110% healthy) then those fears gets relieved alittle. And austin is austin. People forget the pace he was on last year before tony romo got injured. He was a beast. Him and romo has great chemistry.

Or if warranted, let Newman become the slot corner. At least in his prime he was actually quite good at it. I know he *was* better than I've seen Scandrick play it at one time. It could still be true.
