I just think teams end up over spending on overall #1 picks and it has become very over rated. You can get top quality within #3 through #5 and not spend a kings ransom for them.

Good point...Now that I think about it, there's no guarantees...You could potentially get stuck there with zero value for your needs and end up getting the richest rookie in the NFL

That's the dream scenario. Being on the clock at #1 or #2 and someone coveting a QB that they MUST have and we drop down a couple of spots, picking up the next year's first round pick and possibly another 2nd round pick.

I betcha that if Jim Harbaugh leaves, Luck will leave and come out early, also if Cowboys have number one overall draft pick, Luck might come out to get drafted by Cowboys.

Kinda like Cowboys when they had overall pick and got Troy Aikman. Right now were in contention with Buffalo, remember at one point,we were in contention for first overall pick with Green Bay, but they won or whatever and we took aikman, they took Mandrich, the OT and he was a bust.

Maybe its devaju all over, and a franchise QB might be staring us in the face. So, what would you do, take that franchise QB or trade down 4 spots or so and get CB Peterson if you can?
