Like it or not, the Eagles are the new standard in the the NFC East to beat, rather they win or loose today, doesn't matter.
They got here with a very good defense, and an obvious franchise QB in Wentz.
Commanders will continue to suck, and the Giants have yet to move on from Eli, but they will.
Dallas D is close and could surpass the Eagles D with a solid draft, just a couple pieces shy.

This may turn out to be correct, but I am not crowning them just yet. The division hasn’t had a repeat champion in a decade and the Cowboys were thought to have been the team to compete with just a season ago. I’ll wait and see how the next couple years play out.

The Dallas D is not a couple pieces shy of the Eagles D.

Their DL is still much much better and their safeties are much better. And if we think the draft alone is going to close that gap immediately we are foolish.

The other obvious difference is in coordinators.

I have always hated the Commanders more if I'm honest. I despise the Skins and the Eagles are a close second. I am more concerned with the Cowboys improving as a team then I am of what the Eagles of doing as I don't have a vested interest in the Eagles but I do with the Cowboys.

If anyone hasn’t noticed it’s a year to year league unless your named the Patriots. There is no guarantee that Philly is good next year. Obviously a lot of things broke their way this year. 6 game suspension of our best player, injuries, etc.

The Cowboys defense is trending up and I can’t remeber a time in the last 10 years of feeling this way. I’m hoping that Dak comes prepared next year.

I agree..........if the Super Bowl is our goal, we better have a plan to get past the Eagles. Remember in the 90's, 49ers, Packers and Eagles admitted building their teams to beat or get past the Cowboys. Not saying the Eagles are that dominant but not expecting them to be a real threat is misguided.

Remember in the 90's, 49ers, Packers and Eagles admitted building their teams to beat or get past the Cowboys. Not saying the Eagles are that dominant but not expecting them to be a real threat is misguided.

I don't buy into the snap count BS for a 1 tech on this D. If we had a dominating 1 tech on the roster, the scheme would change to accommodate.
Dominating players are dominating and demand 3 downs.
