he didn't test well at the Combine, good chance he is there at 28.
Yeah I watched but he shows up in the games. Where the boys pick and where he is projected he fits the bill and serves a need. Plus unless there is something not being reported he has no off field issues.

What are the chances that one of them will still be available at 28?

Honestly, probably not great. Reddick is most likely the best shot because of the position he plays. I would give maybe 18-22 sure fire 1st round grades, and that's including the 6 I listed. I think it's going to take a run on QB's and CB's to be able to pick from 2 or 3 guys that I originally listed.

Where does Reddick play for us? We don't play that much base, and neither do most teams in the league. Nickel and random pass coverage alignments are the new defenses to combat this passing league now. 4-2-5 and alignments like that.

If Jaylon is healthy you have Lee/Jaylon at the two LB spots.

If Reddick can cover and is a beast in pass defense is the only way I see him being a legitimate option.

Reddick can cover. He's a former high school safety and he showed his ability at the senior bowl. PPlus he tested better than most of the safeties will.
I'm not passing on 1 of the most athletic playmakers on the defensive side of the ball because of the highly unlikely chance that Lee and Smith will be on the field together for an extended period of time. Nor am I drafting an inferior player just because they have a better chance of playing early. That's a quick way back to 8-8.

Reddick can play SLB and situational pass rusher early on. Plus with the addition of Reddick Rod could/should use the 3-3-5 nickle that he showed last year a lot more. Would be a great way to get our best 11 on the field.

I've come around on Reddick assuming we use him properly. He can play SLB, he can put his hand on the ground in passing situations. Further, let's note that Jaylon Smith is no sure thing to reach his potential and Lee isn't a spring chicken anymore. The best outcome is you have Lee, Smith and Reddick dominating at LB for the next few years. The worst case, is Lee just starts to dive a bit in production due to age and injuries, Smith never reaches his potential............. at that point you might he happy you have Reddick.

I mean somebodys gotta be there, no matter how u mock it, someone with big time potential at a position we could use is there...

I see these rankings changing dramatically after the combine giving us a little better idea.

As for now I got a good feeling a couple of these guys will be there at 28 I personally like these guys, got a woody for Samuels but not sure if hes there either now

Edge
C Harris
C Lawson
TJ Watt
H Reddick (*lb hybrid)

DB
A Jackson
Q Wilson
J Lewis
G Conelley
C Tankersley
B Baker

WR/RB C Samuel

Otherwise a top 2-3 WR, OL or TE falls

I'm adding A Jackson to my list.
Yeah man, he might be my new favorite at 28, this guy could easily be a top 5 pick next year had he stayed.
think he has the rarest skill set of any player this side of Pepoers.
He puts pressure on other teams in many ways
I like to get a players that you can say "this guy doesnt come around every year"
Love to see this dude on the jet sweep! Buh by lucky!

TJ Watt 6-4, 252, 4.13 short shuttle, 6.79 3-cone 4.69 40yd. Demarcus Ware: 6-4, 251, 4.07 short, 6.83 3-cone. 4.56 40 yd
Watt is growing on me for sure. Has injury history so that is a big negative. I'd feel great about him at 60. Not sure about 28.

Lots of options...we can't go wrong. This is actually the draft that we can take ANY position aside from QB/RB/K/P. Anything else is fine. When you're drafting at the bottom of every round, you're most likely not gonna have a nice haul of talent, certainly nothing like 2016 or 2011.

I used to be all about defense in this draft but I will be happy with offense too, especially if it's an possible elite WR/TE.

T White is added to my list. There will be some excellent dbs available at 28. The Cowboys should be able to draft a corner, a safety, and a wr in this draft for sure.

Obi Melifonwu is added to my list. It looks to me like the Cowboys should draft at least one db in the 1st two rounds and could end up taking a corner and a safety.

The chances of the 28th pick being an immediate impact player are not likely BUT if we get a WR/CB who is a dangerous punt returner, that's exactly the type of impact we need. Really hope Adoree is there...he is my new target

I'd be real happy with Jackson or Peppers.
