So far DAL has created and used 48m in cap space

We have spent 35.4m and have 12.4m in space= 47.8m

I told everyone Cap Space would not be a problem but it would be doled out in drips and drabs

If we started March with 50m in cap space our fans would have demanded a spending spree

Instead we lost our WR1, LB2, LOG, CB3, RB2, FB1, DE4 and replaced them with JAGs
We did sign DLaw and DIrving for 20m but that was not a wise use of space

AND .....we still have another 30m in Cap Space easily available ....40m with a couple more cuts (Beasley, Hanna)..........that is 80-90m in Cap Space for 2018

So we can close the book on cap woes and Dead Money boogeymen..... we are 72m under for 2019 and 139m under for 2020..... what does that get us?????....... CPA of the Year Award

I don't know about the numbers but i love that last line.

It's not just about cap space it's about showing players that this org won't spend easily or without caution.
It is showing we are cheap *******s

We could have had Suh for 14m
Mathieu for 7m

Two huge holes on our D and we passed

We can't use the Salary Cap as an excuse any longer......can't wait until next year to watch them try to hide 75m

I don't know the cap rules but the Cowboys should be as cheap and smart with their money as the league will allow. Whatever tricks are necessary they should use appropriately. If EE stays healthy and on the field and Dak reclaims his poise we got a lot of years to work for a SB winner, but if they start throwing cash away again it will all go down the drain quickly.

Yup, this ownership is cheap **. They have been for a long time now.

That is such a fallacy

You mentioned all the players we lost but they’re all JAGs...we replaced JAGs with JAGs.

Dez is better than a JAG, I’ll give you that but he isn’t the all pro he was 3 years ago. Hitchens is a solid player that we have been looking to replace for 3 years..definitely not worth the investment.

Everyone else you mentioned were JAGs.

Yeah except for Dez, Hitchens, OScan, AMorris and Cooper

Nice try defending the FO

Not even getting into Suh and his mental issue but you would really give Mathieu 7m. He was a shell of himself last season. His knees are basically bone on bone at this point!

He was a shell when he first came back

He is healed now and we need a FS badly

Suh is a beast and I want a little attitude on the DL
