As silly as the curtain thing is, it provides a snapshot into Jerryism

The guy is a multi-billionaire. He's clearly been right about a lot of things, which is why I can't understand his line of thinking. I'm also not a raging narcissist with a fragile ego.
That's pretty much it right there everything revolves around his line of thinking because when you're a multi i-billionaire no one in your inner circle questions your line of thinking because they don't want to be cut out of their inheritance.

And nobody outside your inner circle has the guts to pose the tough questions to you to your face.
Right or wrong when you have billions of dollars it just covers a multitude of sins

"More than anything" :lmao:
The biggest lie ever perpetrated on the fans is “Jerry really wants to win”.

Anyone who still believes Jerry is serious about winning just needs to watch Jerry’s curtain discussion last Sunday after the eagles game.

This exemplifies the problems of having your players look into the sun during games: In all regular season and postseason games since it opened in 2009, the Cowboys are 29-29 at AT&T in afternoon games. But, the Cowboys are 48-25 in noon and evening games.

That can’t be an accident. Proof the Sun in afternoon games has been an issue.

And since JJ again defended his “no curtain” rule on his weekly radio show, no one can EVER say again that Jerry wants to win more than anyone. Ha! He doesn’t even want to create conditions to help his team win in his own stadium!

He’s right even when he’s wrong, don’t believe me just ask Jerry. It’s sad and I’d be shocked if we see curtains in Jerry’s life time, he just will not admit he’s wrong

Know several people that way, no need to even try talking with them, you would have a better conversation with the wall.

All about winning Forbes.

I've posted this many many times.
But he's not winning Forbes, he's currently #52. At #11, he's not even in the top ten of wealthiest sports owners.

LOSER.... lol.

Jerry has to be right. It's that simple. He wants to win but it has to be on his terms. It has to be with him sitting out FA. It has to be with him just building through the draft. It has to be with him picking/approving all the coaches. It has to be on his terms.

Jerry doesn't just want the Cowboys to win. He wants Jerry to win. He wants people gushing over him and his decisions.

Which is why he loathes to admit a mistake. Because any concession or change (say they suddenly spend in FA or they hire a coach that demands more control) is an implication that Jerry shouldn't get the praise but rather other people. If they have success when Jerry does something outside his comfort zone, he views it as him potentially not getting the credit he deserves. He'd rather be right than actually win.

And the curtains is just a small snapshot into that thinking. They use curtains for every other event to block the sun. However, Jerry stubbornly dug in years ago when the issue was raised and putting up curtains would be him admitting he was wrong all this time. He has to be right, he cannot admit a mistake even to the detriment of his own team. And until that type of thinking changes, this franchise is going nowhere. And if Stephen has the same impulses as his dad, the same desire to be right over winning, then this franchise is cooked for another two decades or as long as Stephen runs the show.

We been seeing these snapshots for decades. Nothing new. It does provide to the outsiders a glimpse into the systemic issue in Dallas. Jerry and his little minions of yes men in the media that have enabled this junk. They have always known, yet minimized the affect of his way of doing things as Jerry just being Jerry. Now the mask is off. He's fully exposed now. The emperor has no clothes. Now he will need to deflect the attention off of him for the debacle. Which means, McCarthy is good as gone. Perfect fall guy. The curtains are just a small distraction to much bigger problems.

He has? Like what.

If you're including making billions, then OK. He has been mostly wrong about the NFL personnel side of things.

100% people like Jerry think the inability to admit a mistake is a show of strength. It actually just confirms the inability to learn.
Very true which is why the same mistakes continue to be repeated throughout the organization because they haven't learned their lesson and are too arrogant to recognize the mistakes they've made to apply change.

Jerry is in the Hall of Fame for being an owner that helped transform the league into the money making machine it is now. But he thinks he's in the Hall of Fame because of those 3 SBs and that he was the one who built them.

He's a fool.

Yeah he's delusional to fully understand home field advantage.
+ Being in a stadium where the sound funnels to the field and can make the visiting team feel the 12th man IS and advantage.
+ Understanding how to play in the cold because you live there and practice knowing what to do and what not to do during the game IS an advantage.
x Having the sun blind anyone on the field at any given time and not planning for it or understanding how to combat it, IS NOT an advantage. Never has been.

No one cares about the feeling of playing outdoors but not being outdoors.

In replaying CeeDee's play where he couldn't see, it's so obvious there was NO way he could have made that an advantage against the defense unless the field was on a swivel and could be turned at any given time during the game to have the other team face the sun. Even then, the qb would then be at a disadvantage  . It was always a dumb design for the actual game of football.

Well said. Add to it that Jerry has nothing left to attain.

Most valuable franchise? Check.

Super Bowl Championship(s)? Check.

Hall of Fame? Check.

The fact that the SBs has very little to do with him is irrelevant; that’s not the case in his mind.

The fact that he’s in the HoF is irrelevant in his mind.

The hope with Stephen is that, as with almost all children, he wants to blaze his own path. He’s done none of the above. The question is, will he have the burning desire to win a Super Bowl once he’s no longer under the umbra of his father?
Bold - he does have something to attain, something his money cant buy....

That's him getting credit for building a SB winning team.

If he had everything this game has to offer he'd step back but his ego and narcissism won't let him..sad really.
