I'm some where between diehard and realist. Cowboys are my team good times and bad times, I will go into the season with high hopes yet never have I gone into a season expecting a SB.

I did... Going into super bowl 27...

I expected 28, 29 and 30... Thought we might get lucky for 31 so I was still expecting.

I generally watch all the games I can - not just of the cowboys but also of the other teams. I just really enjoy the sport, I watch college too but don't enjoy that quite as much.

I guess im somewhere in the optimistic category. Even when the team is bad and I think I wont want to watch I cant help but get pulled into it on game day.

For college football im sort of a bandwagon fan in that I don't have a favorite team so I tend to pick a different team every year that I like early on in the season and then root for them. But I generally pick a dark horse, an underdog team that has some chance to compete though they are not the favorites. I almost always root against the favorites - especially Alabama and LSU.

So I rooted heavily for miss state last year. I rooted for texas tech the year they had a good run. This upcoming year it might be UCLA because I like Rosen and last year I liked the way they were really trying to get a dominant run game going.

So having watched alot of Dak, what is your overall impression of him? Do you think he is an NFL quarterback?

I never have. My hope was for the SB but in a situation where it is a 1 game winner moves on anything can happen. Going into a season my expectations are to win the division and get into the playoffs. From there you got a chance.

Sometimes you take a logical approach...
And.... Sometimes you pound your chest and just tell opposing fans that it will happen. Pisses them off. Because they knew it was a real good possibility.

For those years... I predicted and rubbed it in,

IT WAS GLORIOUS!

I just give the Jimmy Johnson "How Bout them Cowboys" when I come into the office. Cowboys do the talking for me during those season.

The only part of any of our chosen way to be fans is the few that imagine they have a better perspective because they don't let their fandom influence their asessments of the team and their team's performance. This line of thinking is laughable at best.

I don't think I'm qualified to say whether or not he can or will be successful in the nfl from watching on tv.

I do like him as a player. What I did see was someone who was competitive and seemed to have a strong will to succeed.

From what I've read he has good leadership skills and a lot of other positive intangibles. People seem to be questioning how accurate or how talented a passer he will be.

But I liked the pick. Much more than most of the other qb available. I'm rooting for him.

I've only seen highlights and liked what I saw... obviously.
