Robinson's last deal was for 8.5 million per. If he can get that again, it wont be here. If they dont retain Hankins, a more realistic option would be Billings who made about vet min
I remember Billings from his high-school years. I wanted Dallas to draft him when he turned pro. I'd like to see him sign here in Dallas

Just get me the best 2 run stoppers available. Or 1 free agent and 1 from draft. Tough up the middle, let the edges rushe

I'd love another rookie run at NT in the late round ..I'm about done with Quinton Bohanna who is JAG.

. ex-draftee John Ridgeway was intitially thought as an add on competition vs but was a surprise cut at summer's end.

i'd love to have Hankins back too,.. but we could also use a youthful, promising backup and heir apparent. It was a massive difference once Hankins was hurt and out.

And that's why you have to have two big, fat nose tackles. Even though Hankins wasn't a world-beater, he made a huge difference and the D wasn't the same without him.

Yeah, just looked at Billings and some comps in FA the last few years after he was mentioned in this thread. He might be the best, realistic run-stopping DT we can afford. 2/$11M or 3/$16.5M looks to be about his market value.

I'd actually have 3 as insurance if one of them gets injured.
Maybe.

Vet Carlos Watkins was a utility type that played both DT roles and moved up the depth ladder and playing time when Trysten Hill was traded
and Gallimore seem to get more into the doghouse.

i wouldn't be surprised if they bring him back in that same capacity, including stashing him on practice squad again.

Robinson would be an awesome addition… hopefully he wants to come home to TX

If we don’t sign him, Hankins needs to be a priority and I would hope they would be looking for a run stuffer type in the draft as well (later rounds) — but this franchise criminally undervalues the 1T

Hanks and Cox??
sure. hanks, cox, robinson, billings, i'm not familiar with most of the college guys but i'm sure there are some good strong run stuffers somewhere in the draft too. The problem is they want to wait and find that special guy who can stop the run and rush but aaron donald isn't the norm so just give me some guys who are great at the 1 thing we absolutely need them to do and let the great rushers we have do their thing.
