Both ESPN Announcers, Gruden and McDonough, made a bunch of idiotic comments after the penalty saying it wasn't a foul. One of them said "What is supposed to do, hold him up in the air?"

No, moron, he is supposed to tackle him without lifting him up in the air in the first place.
That McDonough guy annoyed me. I think Gruden would be more tolerable with if paired with the right play-by-play guy.

I didn't see it that way, and I thought the penalty was bogus. He stopped Elliott's progress by picking him off his feet, which is perfect form, but he did not slam or drive Zeke to the turf. The tackler hit the turf first and Zeke was still in the air, coming down softly. As for Zeke's point that he played dirty throughout the game, I trust him on that, but he didn't get slammed down on that tackle...there really wasn't much to it.
It certainly looked less egregious on replay than it did live. I'm guessing that he was penalized based on how he lifted him before throwing him down. I'm glad we got the penalty, but I'm a fan of letting the players play. Cut out the ticky tack PI and holding calls and let the players tangle a little bit. I also thought the PI call that Dez got at the 1 or 2 yard line was a ticky tack call. Let the players play!

Nothing special. All year long the Cowboys are good but they can't keep winning with a rookie QB and rookie running back. Every team they beat was good but after they would beat them, That team wasn't that good this year. Joe Flacco said they should of beat them. No way they should of lost to the Cowboys. ESPN has the Falcons going to the Super Bowl. Cowboys just must be lucky I guess. The Lions played one good half of football. They got dominated in the second half. The Cowboys beat them up. The Cowboys enjoyed beating them up so much that the punter had to get in on some of the action. Roberts got lit up by the punter. Can't feel too good to get laid out by the punter. They've won 13 games and the Giants did beat the Cowboys twice by a total of 4 points. So the Cowboys don't wanna see them because of those losses. Ridiculous. They beat Green Bay and Pittsburgh on the road and there's nothing special about that. Ok. Thanks for the opinion. Just google the Lions and you will definitely see a team who is historically nothing special

That was a bad call.

But Robinson is still mad about what Zeke and the Buckeyes did to Alabama's defense.

Possibly even more incredible was the announcer's obvious disgust (practically a petulant outburst) about the flag. Made me sick.

EXACTLY, thank you!! :hammer:

Seriously. It's football,I dint really have a problem with the tackle even though I thought "lol that's prolly a flag" but there was clearly grounds for the call. It's pretty indisputable. If they hadn't called it I would have just shrugged it off, but since they did it is what it is. The announcers were shameful in their disbelief.

Rookie showing some butt hurt. Can't blame him. He took a reaming. But he is, as you say, a rookie. He'll get used to it.

Was it butthurt when Dez behaved this way as a rookie...and still does?

They are passionate. I was happy about the body slam though, he needs to control that. But I think he and Dak have a bit of a history and it got under his skin a bit, plus they are fighting for the playoffs.

Guy has a bright future, just hope he doesn't end up as another defender who has anger issues.

That is my exact view as well. I didn't care much either way about the tackle itself (since it's probably not any more likely to cause injury than a legal tackle), but to deny that it was a flaggable offense is ridiculous.

Wasn't he the clown doing the "feed me" gesture after tackling McFadden while trailing by 21?
Maybe he couldn't read the numbers on the jersey
His comments show he's not real bright

I guess seeing Zeke across the LOS and having 42 hung on his team AGAIN drudged up bad memories....

For all his immaturity, I can't recall a time when Dez tried to throw shade on a team that had just laid a beating on the Cowboys.

He and Hall got into it plenty of times back in 2012 during the RGIII run. And let's face it, he and Norman recently have been throwing shade (This started last year)

They are competitive people. Never understand why people get this worked up over trash talking. There certainly are lines drawn, and I think Robinson crossed it a bit with that body slam. But he's a future bright spot on the Lions D, very competitive player. Having a history with two players and getting your butt whooped in an important game will have any player frustrated.

He played well but he has 1 sack all year...still think he ends up being really good.

No team in the league is anything special. Except maybe the Patriots.

This Cowboys team would get destroyed by the 90s Packers teams. Let alone the 49ers or Cowboys of that era.

Welcome to parity.

That's okay. Every team we beat don't think we're special. Join the club. Hopefully 3 playoff teams will say the same thing when it's over.
