What it would BE is a reasonable compromise between being “all in” and the usual.

As fans we ought to be happy about it, but even that’s not likely to happen.

I honestly think they assess every possible FA acquisition against a draft pick as far as dollar for dollar comparison.

And the draft pick always wins. They don’t at all understand the very typical bust factor when it comes to picks, as evidenced by Jerry saying the recent mid round picks need to step up. They aren’t going to Jerry. They can’t.

They expect every single pick to pan out. That never happens no matter who you are. There’s the real problem. One of them anyway.

Their run defense was awful though. They gave up almost 2500, and over 5 yards a carry. Whoever they have cant be rhat good lol. They need him even more than us

Hankins or Robinson plus drafting another NT in the mid rounds would certainly help, though.
The defense with a healthy Hankins held SF's excellent running game largely in check.
