Aside from the catch, three things that stick with me

Good list.

But I think what was most glaring is the inability to get Rodgers to the ground. The Packers brought enough pressure that even though they didn't sack Romo on every play, they hit him and made him feel the pressure. We simply could not get to Rodgers. This offense was good enough to get to a Super Bowl. But not this defense, not this pass rush.

I can't get upset with the Murray fumble or even the 3 and 1. Those things happen in a game. The other team is playing also and trying to make plays - not just our guys. No team plays perfectly. Even Rodgers fumbled, which led to a Cowboys touchdown. But none of those single plays cost us the game. The accumulation of plays cost us the game.

I'm upset at the no-catch call, but I understand it based on the letter of the law. But even then, we had a chance to stop the Packers and couldn't. And then the tip ball that Cobb catches anyway to seal the game? It was just their day.

We'll be back, though.
Those things shouldn't happen. Not getting to Rodgers are things that sometimes you can't control no matter how much you try and the Cowboys did try. They made Rodgers have to move around a little bit but even with an injured calf he's still hard to bring down. Fumbling and not converting on a 3rd and 1 and even more throwing to the end zone for an incompletion on 3rd and 1 are things you can control and shouldn't happen.

Yeah, you can control them, but athletes don't play like that. It's just like the Dez no catch. Yeah, Dez should have just caught the ball and gotten out of bounds. But Dez is not thinking about that. Similarly, Murray is thinking about breaking open. He's not thinking about "don't fumble, don't fumble," and he shouldn't be. And even if we think he should run with the ball tucked against his chest, that may hamper his mobility. As for the 3rd and 1 situation, the ball comes in "hot" and Romo just bobbles it. Things like that happen.

You simply can't play a perfect game, and the other team's guys are trying to make plays too.

I'm disappointed, but I'm not going to fault Romo or Murray. Yes, the turnover was huge. But those things happen. We just couldn't overcome it, and the Packers could, which is why they're playing and will get crushed next week. :)

1. The Murray fumble was a great play by Peppers. Give the other team some credit.

2. There was PI on GB on the pass to Williams that was ignored.

3. Hanna has that fumble recover in his mitts and just let it get away
Terrible play.

Fumbling the ball vs. getting to the QB is not even a comparison. One results in a turnover, the other results in not the worst thing that can happen. That fumble shifted momentum in the game and that is something you can control BY HOLDING ONTO THE BALL!

But fumbling the ball is a one-time problem. Not getting to the quarterback is a consistent problem. And the consistency (or, more accurately, the inconsistency) of getting to the quarterback was directly related to the Packers' scoring drives.
Moreover, even though we turned the ball over, Murray made up for it with big runs down the stretch. And we even take an eight-point lead after the fumble. But we couldn't get Rodgers to the ground. Excuse me, we couldn't get an immobile Rodgers on the ground. That happened throughout the game. To me, that's more egregious.

Fumbling the ball and giving it to another team is a BIG TIME ONE TIME problem. That is a crusher and can't happen in a playoff game.

It happened to Aaron Rogers. Why wasn't it a crusher for the Packers? Oh, yeah. They kept playing through it, and we couldn't stop him.

Two late and low hits to Romo's legs, no call. Fast forward to Colts Broncos game a low hit to Manning that didn't look late get's called for a personal foul. The refs treat Romo like a running back and the rest of the QBs in the league are treated with silk gloves.

especially that low one by Matthews. He clearly came in low...

Yes, it was a very cheap shot, it reminded me of the time Carson Palmer got taken out for the Bengals. I hope the Seahawks flat out embarrass the Packers next week.

Agree. We came back and were on the verge of potential of one of our all time catch/comebacks but for the overturn.

A number of things cost the Cowboys that game primarilly all the runs after the catch by Packer receivers due to a number of missed tackles. Those missed tackles kept several Green Bay drives alive. Penalties hurt the Cowboys a sack on Rodgers on 3rd down was nullified due to a penalty. The bad play call on 3rd and one cost the Cowboys points. Instead of pounding Murray for a yard when the running game had started to gel Romo threw the ball down the field for an incompletion. Bailey who hasn't kicked well in 2 weeks missed another FG. Even the play call to Dez on 4th down was questionable. There was plenty of opportunities for the Cowboys to win this game but in the end the defense couldn't make critical stops.
