Asking price for DK Metcalf down to 2nd round pick

Our second round picks look like your 1st rounders do yall want to skip the first round lol?
Jalen Carter, Devonta Smith, Nolan Smith, Jordan Davis

Vs

Sam Williams, Luke Schoonmaker, Marshawn Kneeland, Kelvin Joseph (and notice I didn’t even count AJ Brown, when you guys kept saying Amari counts as one of your draft “hits”)

That zinger may have worked 6 years ago, but times have changed

You didn't have to dunk on him like that lol

I’m not saying Dallas has a bad oline, but you do have an incomplete one. And an incomplete Dline, and an incomplete secondary, and an incomplete backfield, and an incomplete LB corps. To spend 30m$ and a high draft pick on a #2 receiver in that situation doesn’t make a lot of sense.

What is DK’s realistic output as Lamb’s #2? 1100 yards and 8 TDs? Is this even a serious discussion people are having
That’s your opinion. I don’t know what you define as “incomplete” our weakness is interior line. Fix the interior of the defensive line and things will sort themselves out. The line played much better as the season went on and Martin got hurt so not sure how bad or good they are.

Backup CB, DT, linebacker these are positions you can fix in free agency or later in the draft. Finding a number 2 receiver who can come right in and be a number 2 is much harder.

Where’s Jalen Reagor? Jj Artega Whiteside? Andre Dillard? Agolor? My favorite Marcus Smith?

Keenan Allen is available right now, you don’t have to trade for him, you don’t have to pay him 30m$. Stefon Diggs is available right now and won’t cost 30. Tyler Lockett who’s outproduced DK for most of their shared time in Seattle, Cooper Kupp, Deandre Hopkins.

No these guys aren’t as good as DK, but they also won’t cost close to as much. DK isn’t 10-20m$ AND a high second round pick better than all of these guys.

I would give a 2nd in 2026,

I would trade our 2nd round draft pick in 2026. Our drafting 2nd rounders every other year isn't good. Tristan hill in 2019, 2021 Kelvin Joseph, injury prone tight end in 2023, with kneeland doing decent in 2024, we possibly are due to another poor chose in 2025
If they stay away from injured guys or tight ends they have a decent chance.

Why would anyone want Keenan Allen in 2025? Same goes for Diggs these are guys older and getting hurt. Lockett another one.

Seattle won’t be getting a 2nd for him. At least I don’t think.

He says that your statement would be accurate 6 years ago, and your comeback is to literally name players drafted 6 years ago or earlier.

Are you trying to make his point for him, because that surely didn't help yours?

I'm rooting for you in this exchange but come on man.

The interior OL is solid and has great upside. The tackles are a little shaky, though.

Like I think you could kick Tyler back out to tackle and go Bass/Hoffman/Beebee in some combo, but you still have a bit of a weak spot at the other T.

But yeah the OL isn’t in shambles or anything. It’s the front seven that needs heavy investment.

Keenan will definitely sign to a good team looking for a clutch receiver. He was a stud last season in an anemic offense run by a rookie QB, and despite being the the #2

Diggs was good before the injury and the season prior. Not all pro good, but he’s still not that old. Lockett the same. They’ll be cheap coming off injury

But I think someone will pony up. It may not be exactly a 2, but lots of teams are desperate. Maybe a 3 and a 2026 4, or maybe a player swap for their disgruntled WR (Pickens)

I’m just giving an Eagle fan hell. They are champions there’s nothing I can really say at this point other than just talk crap lol. It’s just what I am I hate that fanbase too much lol. Don’t mind me. They’ve had a great two year run. I think Jordan Davis is a JAG. But yes top 10 picks like Carter and Devonte Smith are much better than anything we do in the second lol.

Keenan is fine I mean as a number 2. To me that’s Brandon Cooks. I think we need a better more consistent option than that in 2025. Diggs injury is the concern.

I agree. I think the line will be better simply being a year older.
