Assistant Coaches Anytime Soon?

Exactly. I'd like to see us bring in Dat Nguyen, but we have 2 LB coaches already. What do we do with one of them? I guess promote Pasqualoni to DC is possible, but I like the idea of Bowles a little better. That means we'll need a DB coach. Who do we go after? San Diego said no dice on their guy. Indy just lost Frazier to Minnesota as the DC to replace Tomlin.

I think Bowles will be our DC, that means DB coach and ST are open. Maybe QB coach too, but I think that will be Garrett's primary function.

so would garrett be OC also? if wade is defense, are we now talking sprano/garrett co-OC's of some sort?

heh - baby steps FOR MY PROBLEMS!!! : )

one was a flippant remark we all make from time to time. or many of us anyway. but from the overall scheme of things, it's how i said it above.

if jones would have hired someone 2 weeks before the superbowl, then the parcells delay is a factor. if jones would have waited anyway till after the superbowl, then parcells indecision has no bearing on it whatsoever and the "blame" for the delay is on jones.

i have no idea at this time if there's any overall negative effect from waiting just now, however. if we can still get good coaches in here then not much. if the delay say costs us frazier vs. promoting bowles, even then hard to say but at least there's something concrete to point to.

i blame parcells for what i view to be his share, but i don't think he had anything to do with hoffa and i do feel he did some good things for the franchise overall.

I hope Sparano's role in the offense doesn't get reduced. To be honest I think he has the potential to be a head coach some day.
