Not that I have any inside information, but just taking this as a hypothetical.

Do you think we'll get some specific plays designed for Stanback? I realize he's not polished enough to get "serious" playing time. But do you think we'll get maybe 4-6 plays designed for him to run? (Again, assuming Glenn can't come back.)

It just seems that one WR who could stretch the field - or at least defenses think that the player could stretch the field - would help our offense tremendously.

Maybe more "simple" plays initially, like fly patterns, reverses, etc. could be used. Kind of like the way NO used/uses D. Henderson (think that's his name) - their blazing WR who came into the league a year or so ago.

On a side note, I'm still hoping that Glenn works his way back. And I thought he was going to start running this week or next. But I'm just assuming the worst (being very conservative) right now.

I believe Dallas will address the WR position via the draft possibly DeSaun Jackson from Cal (crossing fingers) will be available...

From my experience, the more you want the Cowboys to draft a guy, the more likely they are to take someone else, even if the guy you like is still available. ;)

I am totally with you...since we never made a move for Chris Chambers...I am going to assume that the front office thinks Stanback or Miles can help us. The one thing I like about this coaching staff is they did not make everything rocket science like the previous coaching staff. So I would hope they don't start getting cute...you drafted him....he is big and fast...let's see if he can take some snaps in a game.

Stanback should get his feet wet on special teams before anything else. Basically, he was drafted to replace last year's bust Skyler Green. The problem is, he's got almost "zero" experience as a receiver or returner. Right now, comparing him to ex-Cowboy Randal Williams would be generous. He's a major project that's too talented to place on the PS....apparently.

I hear you..but again...let's not get to cute...their should be some routes he can run....like I said...I hope this team thought he could contribute...if not they would have been more active in pursuing Chris Chambers or McCardell or someone. Owens and Witten are going to wear down from the constant double teams

IMO he will be on someone's team by the end of the year.........unless he's out hitting the blunts with Charles Rogers........The kid had talent

He may have talent but he's burned so many teams that no one will take him. He'll be in the CFL or AFL soon.

Wasn't there are a report that he is facing a 1 year suspension? If that is the case, whomever does sign him won't get to use him for a year.

I don't know Yeager, sometimes kids like Bryant have to go through a couple of things before they realize the privilege they have in playing for an NFL team....There's a maturity process for some and Bryant is only 26 years old....Someone in need of a WR will give him a workout.........Not to mention, we really don't know what happen between him and Parcells....The big fish could've been pulling rank and Keyshawn didn't want to share the spotlight anyways......

There are plenty of those teams around. He still can't get a contract. Even as a #4 or #5 WR. His reputation in the NFL is ruined. The league has passed him over. He should go to Canada.

On September 17th, 2007 he was reinstated in the league;
