I have to say that there are more important needs we need to be spending money on.

T.O. should not be this teams #1 priority.

Glenn and Crayton, or Owens and Glenn. TO isn't the #1 priority? I beg to differ

please..its not like FA ends once TO is signed.

and I have to REALLY disagree with all these people that keep claiming WR wasnt a need. Dallas had some decent players but no really big game breaker

Uh...we had Keyshawn and a little thing called the draft coming up.

There are also some other WRs on the market. Younger talent that would cost less and present less risk for the long term of this franchise.

I agree with you too. even with Key, we still needed help at WR

How so?

The Cowboys had two of the most productive WRs in the league last year.

I agree we still have work to do... I was wondering where are all the people who said Jerry and Bill were sitting on their thumbs and not doing anything??

WR was definitely a need... needed a playmaker. We can still stand to get younger here. That's why we'll draft a WR in the first day.

Actually... no....

I mean, I like it. I love it. I want T.O. on this team. He's gonna make us ridiculously good. But the truth is, we've got some other holes to fill. I know none will get as much attention or garner as much press as signing Terrell Owens, but that alone won't leave me with a satisfied feeling about free agency. We've got work to be done on our roster, and I'd like to see its fruition.

Kicker, Outside Linebacker (Arrington, Arrington, Arrington), Right Tackle and Free Safety. My friend, we need a lot more than just the "splash" from T.O. for this to be a successful signing period.

Lawyer Milloy would be incredible next to Roy Williams! Jon Runyan is out there, would be extraordinarily stout for another 3 seasons & would solve any protection problems over right tackle for the upcoming year. Josh Brown or Olindo Mare, I don't care; sign one of them soon! LaVar Arrington, as well, would be such an incredibly shrewd move at outside linebacker, I can hardly contain myself!

He is MADE to be the strongside 'backer in a 3-4! It's his destiny!! He would be so unbelievably good opposite DeMarcus Ware, and would stick it to the Commanders by being what they wouldn't let him be... for, of all teams... the Dallas Cowboys!

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!??!?

That would be one of the most beautiful off-season acquisitions of all-time!

Man, I can't wait 'til they announce the signing of Terrell. I want the boy aboard. But if in fact this is Bill's swan-song, his final bid, then by God, let's come out with our guns blazing! With all those additions... which with the way free-agency is shaping up... are all well within our means to achieve, we would have a team of such talent & desire that they ought to just hand us the trophy before the season begins.

Well... nah....

It'll be too much fun watchin' 'em play!

If i remember right, JJ made it a point quite often before FA started to point out that we needed a WR. That was or should have been the first hints. Now that is done or at least it appears that way,, maybe we can get the other areas addressed and move forward.

i think you dont get it.

fans of this team are smart enough that they dont want a "splash". i could care less if TO comes here or not. we just want the needs of the team addressed in the best, most efficient manner possible. the largest needs of this team were OL and kicker. have we addressed either adequately in your opinion? please dont say that we will draft for these. there is not a single person on our OL that starts for any of the contenders, not one. at most we will draft one person and then when he struggles and the OL lets bledsoe get sacked 3 times a game we will start making excuses like "rookies are playing" etc etc.

arent 4 years worth of excuses enough for you? BP and JJ have been trying to rebuild this team for 4 years, think about it. we had one of the worst OLs in the country and we are "hoping" they will suddenly be world beaters this year? guess what all our opponents will do to defend TO? blitz like crazy. think this OL can handle the giants DL and the greg williams blitz packages? not on your life.

isnt it BP who said "you are what your record says you are" ? why dosent he listen to himself for once??

Just wait until free agency is over before you start dismissing this offseason as a failure... Just because we didn't make big signings in the first week doesn't mean we aren't gonna address our needs... Do you seriously think that they are just sitting around letting players they've targeted sign at other places, for a price we would have paid, without making a peep??

I must say that WR is indeed a top priority but obviously not the only priority. We still have time to address our other needs in both FA and the draft. We addressed the OL in part and ILB position as well. We do have much more to do but I do not see 7 days in FA that we are out of the running to meet these needs.

is it weird that when someone says "in the country" I automatically think "dude, you got the wrong sport, that is college football".. I mean, technically, there is nothing wrong about saying "in the country" in reference to the NFL.. I mean, all the teams are from this country.. but that phrase is really only used in college sports.. when talking about the NFL, people either say "in pro football" or "in the NFL" or "in all of football".. OK, sorry.. kinda random..

There is a huge talent difference between Keyshawn and T.O. While KJ and Glenn were quite productive, having T.O. paired with Glenn will change the dynamics of our offense. KJ and Glenn or TO and Glenn?

The questions remain, how long will it take before T.O. becomes disruptive and is this risk worth taking for one or two years?

WR was not a priority! certainly. but, depth does not hurt a position. I know we need a kicker, OL, and LB. i'm sure we will assign that as well! dont trip! we add TO , we can add someone like Brown for K. and OL surely. plus we got the draft up. just cuz dallas did not bust out the money in the first week, does not mean we are not gonna get good players to support this team. geez.

We had two Vinny T's at WR----OF COURSE IT WAS A DIRE NEED! It IS a dire need until we take care of that. We either have to go better (TO) or younger (Walker), cause we all saw what THIS that we had how far it was getting us the last 2-3 years. You can blame it on the line, the defense, whatever, but if the WRs aren't getting open, of course the oline isn't going to be able to hold forever, of course D's are going to stack the box so we can't run, of course we're not going to beable to get first downs, which obvioiusly puts our defense out on the field so much longer then it needs to be.

The BIGGEST need on this team NOW and BEFORE (Key releasing) WAS and STILL IS Wide Reciever. If you think otherwise...blind ignorance to the obvious.

Fixing the O-line was and still is a bigger need (especially when you have a statue for a QB like Bledsoe.)
