Reported today that the Astros signed Chad Qualls for 2 years. He pitched well as a setup man for the Marlins last season.

Scott Feldman was signed a couple days ago and will give the starting pitching a little experience. Not a #1 or #2 on a decent staff he'll provide a little bit of stability for Astros.

I like the Dexter Fowler trade. He'll hit 12-18 homers and will have a very good OBP.

This isn't a .500 team, but it's looking like a team that should avoid 100 losses for the 4th straight season.

You mean the Astros might not use the regular season as the off season this year?

LOL!

I can't say I would have done what they have as far as rebuilding the team.

I mean look at the attendance figures– awful for the size of the city that Houston is.

I can't imagine being a player on that team and suffering through that. That has to be awful.

But, on the flip side the Astros have a terrific amount of minor league talent that is only going to get better after the next draft.

The worst has past. If this tops out as a 85-win team after say 2015 then the current thought process was a dismal failure. If it becomes a consist 90+ win team... well that's another story.
