He is paid 22 mill this year, a lot better than a Franchise tag at 37 mill
Well lets hope Quinn and this draft fixes the defense but even in 2019 this defense was ranked about 12th and Dak couldnt win the division.

I hope Quinn does get this defense turned around, having to put up 30 to win a game is a bit much. Same could be said about Romo, then again when Tony was here while he shares in defeat he was not the reason for it. Dak 42 and 27 with 1 post season win and yes I expect more than that. As for him getting paid he again was a FA why shouldn't he looked to get paid.

Ive always said Dak deserves to be paid but he DOESNT deserve the money he asked for. His numbers or should I say stats dont tell the true story on him, Any QB that has a better percentage chance of scoring from the 50 yard line vs inside the redzone makes you wonder.

and with 2 years his contract will be middle of the road, you don't ask for less money knowing damn well with 2 or 3 years you are back to the lower end. You get 1 big shot at FA and you are a fool if you do not capitalize when you time comes. Deal is done, right now my concerns and my expectation is for him to lead this team and get to a championship. I have never been a big fan of the business side of the game where I think all players are well over paid but it is what it is.

I go to 2-4 games per year and I live in northern Ca. Buying tickets is a mixed bag. Depending on the game and time of year, it is sometimes better to wait till the last minute to buy tickets. Ive waited till as late as 30 minutes before kickoff. Sometimes you get tix cheaper that way. I dont think that is going to be the case this year.Due to covid, people dying to get out to live events AND people having extra cash to spend, I dont see tix dropping like in past. As a matter of fact, they might be more expensive.

Because I have been doing this for a while, I have an idea of what I want to spend and since im coming from Ca, if I find tix for a price im happy with, I get em. 5 years ago, I could search and find lower level end zone tickets for 225-250 range at AT&T. Not a chance in todays world. Sitting in upper level seats between the 20s will cost you between 150-275, depending on the yard line and row. Anything between rows 1-10 are significantly more expensive than row20 and up. Who the opponent is and how the team is doing play a factor in price also.

Ive also sat all over the damn place in these stadiums, and I have found sitting between the 30s if im in around row 10 suits me just fine. I prefer that over lower bowl end zone. On a 3rd and 1 from endzone view, you cant tell how far the runner got because he is running at you. Sitting up higher you can see plays open wide up and see everything. SO, since I do go to that many games and need to deal with hotels and flights, im always trying to save as much money as possible.

I have decided we will go to New Orleans every single time the boys play there... its that much fun for us. BUT, Saints tickets against Dallas is one of the most pricey tickets to get. The stadium is just LOUD and one of my favorite venues. So, I found middle end zone seats upper level row 6, which is about 14 rows lower than last time we went, and I jumped on them because I think I wont get a better deal by waiting. Its kind of like playing the stock market. Since I do this often... I think I have a good grasp on tickets prices and what works for me. If you need any help or have questions, feel free to ask.

We have our hotels booked already for the opener and saved a ton, because the hotels raise their prices after the schedule comes out. We booked the Marriott that is about a 30 second walk from our tailgate location and a 5 minute walk to the stadium. I dont have to pay for parking and when game ends, im in my hotel, showered and in bed before 95% of that stadium gets out of their parking lot.

In new Orleans, our hotel is on the corner of Canal and Bourbon Street.... a perfect location for me, and a short walk to the game.
Now I recall our conversation and thanks for answering that.

I've gotta get my behind to New Orleans this year.

I'm pretty sure it's the only place where the game tailgate is the same exact thing you did the night before the game in sort of the same spot lol.

Also only place I've seen where 20 somethings are partying with 60 somethings....and all in between...and all are happy about it.

Other places are great to see, but no where is anywhere near as fun.

How long to fly from Dallas to Tampa? 2-1/2 hours?
How long to fly from Dallas to LA? 3-1/2 hours?

Not that big a deal in my opinion. Enough time to get a good nap.

Im 51 and wife and I are in good financial shape. Ive been watching too many friends getting cancer, dying at too young an age. Im not putting stuff off. We love New Orleans, so we are going every time the Cowboys play there. No sense in waiting to live in a year or two... that year in the future is not gonna come at some point. Dont want any regrets when my time comes.

Chargers are a very beatable team. This will like a home game with most of the attending fans rooting for the Cowboys.

Many of these players have experienced these circumstances during their collegiate playing days.

QBs Brady and Herbert in our 1st two games comprise two very talented QBs for us to contend with. Our defensive ends will be charged with getting to them on a steady basis for this team to compete with them favorably. That's a difficult opening two games to manage for any team. That poses a real challenge for our DEs to take 'em down. Let's wish 'em good luck!
