At least one “good prospect” tested positive at Scouting Combine

As the calendar approaches April, so does the potential flurry of reports regarding players who tested positive for banned substances at the Scouting Combine.
A source with knowledge of the situation tells us that at least one “good prospect” generated a positive urine test in February during his visit to Indianapolis.

If it's Mallet he deserves to fall in the draft. How dumb would you have to be to come into the draft knowing that your major flaw in your game is your drug addiction and then to fail the drug test at the combine.

i think its jimmy smith, i read something about him being a real knucklehead.
in my opinion, if you can't nail interviews or at least come across as somewhat intelligent, you're capable of anything, mainly because there are millions of dollars on the line.
If I was in charge, all of my picks would be character guys. The only way i'd consider someone who was a little shaky would be if his talent was off the charts. Someone like Dez would get a pass from me. But these guys that are acting standoff-ish or not accountable, i wouldn't go near them. I'd take a lesser talent who's serious about his craft and is dedicated to improvement, over a more talented knucklehead every day of the week and twice on sunday.

I don't know how you classify "Good Prospect" but it could be any of five prospects that I am aware of. Jimmy Smith, Justin Houston, Ryan Mallet, Marvin Austin or Kenrick Ellis.

I have heard that all of these players have rumors of this kind associated with them.

If they tested positive for "Tiger's Blood" then that narrows the list to one person, Ryan Mallett.
