Just look at this off season, there's nothing to really be excited about, so much talk of not signing players/contract extensions. The only thing to get happy about is the guys we drafted and their potential and their can be excitement around some of our core players.

At this point it's been tough ever since Jerry said ALL IN, we've merely been all out! If we are all out this season, we don't have to act surprised! There's that guy we know that crowns us as a Superbowl ready team. I don't think anyone is able to see it, with intelligence please give your thoughts!!

Everything you said is why I totally skipped the entire draft coverage this year and come on this site now about once every 2-3 days just to see what is new....no longer give 2 S's about this sorry organization. Just refuse to tolerate the BS from Booger and Chuckles any longer....I feel like a FOOL for being strung on this long to be honest with you.

There's too much talent for this team to be any worse than average.

Unless,

Well, unless the Cowboys experience one of their "not rare enough" epic injury pandemics.

You know, we lose half the offensive line prior to game #1, as well as the couple of backups that gave us the peace of mind that they would be okay if it happened. Of course, game #1 would be the perfect time to lose the #1 receiver who "never had any previous injury concerns"

We don't have to worry about devastation to the RB squad, Jerry, I mean, the salary cap already took care of that. Both Ferguson and Schoonmaker? Seasons over!

We'll let them win a game after going 0-3 before beginning to work on the defense. Oh, and Dak? Not quite yet. We are still trying to come to terms with Trey Lance's devastating preseason injury. I would give Dak until game #6 before he starts going down the Romo path. After that, it's a clear path to start knocking down DB's.

Other than this scenario, the worse we would see is 8-9. Turns out, the Cowboys are even worse at tanking than they are winning playoff games. Both championships and top 5 draft picks continue to elude them.

On the contrary, a lot to be excited about.

It is a new season approaching us. No matter what or how a fan feels. It is exciting when the season starts.
Zeke is back…yeah…
We get to see our possible future QB in some PS games in Trey Lance.
What looks to be a very good draft class.
As well, any improvements from last years class. Such as Mazi under Zimmer”s tutelage.
Consider Overshown as part of this rookie group coming in.

And we get to laugh at all the continued melt downs. :lmao2:

Oh brother....not enough excitement? Actually it's refreshing to see the Cowboys have a non-sexy, blue collar offseason. Your boredom is my happiness

That's been my view of the Cowboys for at least the past 5 years - expect the worst and hope for the best....

I need to listen to you.. I was up and about at the start of last season.

We had a couple of losses and I thought... "that's ok, everyone loses a couple"

Then the GB game broke me.............................................................

in 2014 I was at the season opener against the niners. After that horrendous loss, I heard for an entire week in the media and on this forum how we might be the worst team in the NFL.... well we know what happened after that.

So unless you are a total fool, learn from te past and just let the season unfold, because nobody knows what the future holds.

How many people predicted a Rams SB prior to the season they won it? I know I know.... here come all of you experts to tell me you did....smh

We jettisoned some old dead weight and are going heavy with young guys...the fact that dak is still here takes some of the wind out of that sail but this team should be one of the youngest in the NFL which in itself is exciting.

No offense but this reads like sarcasm. That's how meh this team is.

I’m right there w ya. And I him more and more people are slowly joining us. This approach where dumb and dumber take the fan base for absolute idiots won’t work forever. It’ll come crashing down eventually. Luckily, for Jerry, he will be dead by then. So he doesn’t care.

You care enough to come back though. You will be back after a 6 game win streak.

But it's typical Jerry.... if we're not competing......why pay Dak $29m (and presumably make us a mid-table team in regards draft pick in 2025).

Jerry playing the 'Hope' Strategy card again......kicking that Dead Money into 2025 and slowing down the rebuild/retool. Take the full hit in 2024, it'll I'm still dying on the hill of cutting Dak Pre-June, save $29m Cash/Salary, save $30m CAP (after restructuring other contracts to find the $11m). Then we're in a better financial/CAP situation for: CeeDee/Micah and even Dak (who im convinced will hit Free Agency as he wants TOP MONEY/SUCCESSFUL TEAM and LOCATION).....and he wont get all of those in 2024 (as the better teams are set at QB).

Lol if last year taught us anything, its to look at who those wins come against. People started talking Superbowl in November last year when we had a 4 game win streak, but then got mad when people pointed out 3 of those wins came against the Giants, Panthers, and Washington
