Ok by now the board should know my lovefest with Terron Armstead, but I must say, after drafting Frederick, we pass on Armstead. I say instead we go with C Brian Schwenke.....another versatile, smart, road grader. Putting Frederick between Smith and Schwenke and that half of our OL is now a wall. Get a FA RT and have Livings and Leary compete for the RG position, or draft Alvin Bailey in the 4th. Now, our OL looks like it belongs in the NFL. Romo should be able to remain upright. Murray and his backups should be able to run to daylight.

I'd prefer Watson who started at RT, our most critical position of need right now.

We have Parnell, who has matured rather well. If we are going to get a RT, I would rather have Armstead to Watson, but that is a matter of preference. I say we get the middle of the OL solved.

I'd love another interior offensive lineman and then sign a free agent to play right tackle. However, I wouldn't turn down an offensive tackle.

Man, I'm excited. Frederick is exactly the type of interior lineman I've wanted the team to draft for years.

Logic is not this team's strong suit. I expect some off the wall pick at 47. Maybe The Hony Badger, Geno for some reason. Maybe another horrible trade for more picks in the 6th. Something along those lines.

Yeah, fix the interior of that OL and get a total of 4-5 early contributors. It's possible.

Warford, Swearinger, Logan and whatever RB they like in the fourth or fifth round. Then I'm happy with this draft class.

imagine if we take Schwenke in the 2nd and Bailey in the 4th....

Smith, Schwenke, Frederick, Bailey, ?

Either start Parnell or sign a FA RT. Either way, we have 80% of our OL solved. Leary, Livings, and Bernie make adequate reserves.

Yeah,... it has been that way for years .... :)..:(....:banghead:..:bang2:

The way this draft has fallen, it's not out of the question that Cyprien is there at 47.
Or what about do think Swearinger will be there at 74? Or Thomas?

Any takers?

I'll go out on a limb and say Giovanni Bernard.

if we go RB, id rather have Franklin, he is more of a complete back. However, Bernard is a workhorse. I like Bernard, just not as much as Franklin.

Yes, let's draft two centers in the first two rounds.

I haven't seen either of them play much, but from the scouting reports it seems like Bernard is better at both receiving and pass protection. Both of those are big pluses to me for someone who is going to be backing up Murray. Bernard is also capable of adding something on special teams, versatility is key.

actually, both players can play all 3 interior positions. Both players have extensive time at G and C. So my thinking is this. Frederick is our new starting C, but can be moved to G in a pinch. Schwenke is our new starting G, but can be moved to C in a pinch. These two players give us versatility, durability, intelligence, and toughness.

God, I just hope they don't draft a 2nd string RB with their 2nd round pick. Lacy is the only RB I will not jump over bridge for if they selected him. Lacy won't fall to them and I don't want Lacy (in the 2nd anyway), but I won't be that angry if they drafted him I guess. I really can't see them drafted 2 OL in a row. I feel Jerry and Co like what they saw in Parnell. I believe they like the idea of Free moving to guard battling with Mack (who they feel improved over the season) for the starting LG spot. Livings will be back at RG and the rookie will play center. Pick 47 will be used defense. It has to be, they are making a freakin scheme change.

You must not have been paying attention. He doesnt have the strength to play tackle much less guard

Wanted Decastro in first round last year, oh well, spilled milk, fix it this year and be done with it. Like the way this guy is thinks.

There are multiple safeties left. I say 47 is one of them.

BTW, I LOVE Lacy as a player. Concerned about him getting banged up but the guy has power AND light feet. NFL ready.

Never said I thought the experiment would be successful. I just think that's what they are thinking.
