Probably has a lot to do with the QBs and talent at Wr. The Dolphins motion a lot to free up waddle and Hill who aren’t big guys. It prevents the defense from jamming them at the LOS negating their speed. In regard to Dallas, I rarely see CBs jamming our WRs at the line. We don’t have the kind of speed to threaten.Searching for analytical data related to "motion" and offensive efficiency, I didn't find anything definitive. Outside of Miami and SF most of the other teams with winning records motion about 20+% of the time.
Dallas and Philly are real outliers at less than 10%. Given comments that Dallas's offense is "simple", it would seem that more motion would warranted.
The Dallas running game needs help. So all options should be on the table and hopefully tried, including more motion to get defenders out of position and gain leverage. Philly's rushing attack has been pretty dominant with a healthy OL and Hurts at QB, so they don't need any help with motion.Searching for analytical data related to "motion" and offensive efficiency, I didn't find anything definitive. McDaniel is a very smart offensive coach.Probably has a lot to do with the QBs and talent at Wr. The Dolphins motion a lot to free up waddle and Hill who aren’t big guys. Would be interesting to compare motion this year for both Dallas and Philly versus last year for both teams. Philly seems to be scuffling offensively this year (well compared to last year where everything seemed to work) and they also have a new OC.Searching for analytical data related to "motion" and offensive efficiency, I didn't find anything definitive. LOL! After last week, I'm not even sure they can snap the ball without a penalty, much less incorporate heavy motion at the snap.We haven't shown we can line up without motion & not have penalties so I can't fully fault the coaches for trying to keep it simple.

They play press man all over. You don't press speedy players, you press the slow ones who can't separate.I rarely see CBs jamming our WRs at the line. We don’t have the kind of speed to threaten.
They don't do it a lot.I was paying attention to this during the last game. This kind of stuff is a misnomer. Dallas puts a player in motion a lot. They just usually come to a spot and stop before the play begins. Its not like Dallas walks into a static formation out of the huddle and stays there.
You’ve got it exactly backward. The worst thing a defense can do is let a guy like Hill have a free sprint up the field. That is why he is seemingly always in motion. They play press man all over. You don't press speedy players, you press the slow ones who can't separate.
Nope. Have you actually watched the Cowboys this year? They are pressing MG13 every time he's in man coverage. We saw it over and over again on Sunday. It's what they were doing on both the third down on the first drive and the INT on the slant against SF.You’ve got it exactly backward. This was our coaches explanation when asked. Though, removing a significant factor in the offensive plan due to lack of discipline is not a good look, IMO.We haven't shown we can line up without motion & not have penalties so I can't fully fault the coaches for trying to keep it simple.
