I haven't been paying that much attention because Dallas was still alive, but I find it hilarious JJones booked the title game one day after the Divisional Playoffs. It would have been a logistical mess if Dallas hosted a game this weekend. I guess he was serious when he downplayed our chances in the pre-season.

On a side note, is anyone in the area going and have you noticed a big influx of college fans?

Seriously? They turn the stadium around in 24 hours without any issues. In fact every home game I've been to the stadium hosted a college game on Saturday preventing me from taking the stadium tour.

I thought I saw them putting down new turf.

Just saying it would be a tight squeeze.

I went to the Colts game a few weeks ago. I had the first tour the next day at 8 AM. The turf for the cotton bowl was already there.

and we didn't play there today and the next game would have been next Sunday.......that leaves 6 days to prep.

We could have hosted the game today if Carolina beat Seattle last week. JJones didn't think of that when he booked the title game or didn't expect us to be hosting any playoff games.

no we wouldn't have, it was GB set in stone. Either way, they can transform NBA courts into NHL rinks in a few hours. Also, Carolina played Atlanta and it would have not affected our game this week.

I meant Arizona beating Carolina, but you're right, it wouldn't have mattered. I was speaking hypothetically and I don't think the team expected us to be hosting a playoff game when they agreed to host the title game back in the Spring.

They can turn that turf quick. Its s money making machine. Traffic in and out of there seems to be nonstop. I'm hoping I can snag a tick tomorrow but only if they drop to something I am comfortable with otherwise I will be watching on TV.

I don't think you could be more wrong. They could host a different event every day of the week if they want. That stadium is a cash cow for the Jones family and if they could book it every day of the year they would.

I live in Maryland and have never been to the Stadium. From what I have seen on ESPN they have had people there all week doing TV and setting up the field and stadium. It would've definitely taken away from all the hoopla if they had to share time with Cowboys and Fox TV. Not a major problem if you think they can turn over the stadium in less than 24 hours, but it seems less than ideal. The NCAA probably would want to have venue to itself for it's first championship game.
