At the game...things I saw...

First of all, the officiating was really bad. I could see the entire field and plays developing from where I sat.

1) I noticed the Giants holding a few times that were not called.
2) The intentioanl grounding was rediculous. I am not sure why Romo threw it away, but I have seen this done so many times and never called, it's rediculous. Noone (Giant player) was even around him.
3) I give up on the personal fould call on Leonard Davis. I couldn't tell exactly what happened at the game, but after watching it on TV, it was redicuous. Do the refs think he has eyes in the back of his head? He was just keeping Strahan down from getting back up and sacking Romo...what he's suppoed to do. I guess Strahan's whining got him to throw it.
4) TO was interfered at least twice as the defender bumped him off his route (like a blocking foul in basketball). None were called.
5) I thought Romo played extremely horrible on the last two drives. After watching on TV, I noticed the balls were getting batted that I could not tell on the field. The offensive line was worn down.

All in all, we got away from what got us here. Yes, we ran the hell out of Barber and he did a great job, but he did indeed run out of gas at the end. I saw the arm tackle bring him down 1 yard shy of the first down at the end and I knew. The O-Line was worn down. I believe those long scoring drives at the end of the half and start of the third were our demise, in conjunction of letting them score right before the half. Yet, we were a quick-strike team all year long (for the most part), not a grind-it-out style of offense.

The networks have to really be pissed about this one...what a showdown that was missed: Packers vs. Cowboys, Colts vs. Patriots. The Patriots and Packers were basically given a free pass to the Super Bowl.

Agree about the style of play.

We weren't a grind it out for 4 quarters, ball control team all stinkin year and then Garrett and Bum's boy decide to change how we played all season. That made no sense whatsoever. I would love to know the # of running plays we called on first down.

That's the part I can't understand. The Giants D is who should have been worn down after the long drives.

Truly stumps me.

I'm laughing right now. All I heard was how Garrett needed to get back to a balanced attack and that he was throwing the ball too much, and it was costing the team games.

So when he goes and does that, now he should have played the game the same way he used to play it instead of establishing a running game because that didn't work either.

Me too, I can not ever remember seeing an OL fold like that.

It was awesome and I'm glad I got to experience it. I was so shocked at the outcome however, of course. There were people in total shock and still in their seats afterwards also.

The fans were great and the "white-out" really stood out. I would say there were 95% Cowboys fans there...definitely not less than 90%. This was by far the loudest I have ever heard at Texas Stadium.

I really think we played into the hands of them. We ran smashmouth, grind-it-out, time consuming football (as you would think the Ginats would do) and they came back and scored in 47 seconds (as we would normally do). I could definitely tell Barber and the O-Line were worn down at the end. I remember telling my cousin that their defense was wearing out, but it didn't seem that way. Maybe they brought the Pickle Juice???

The offense has a 21 play drive that results in a touchdown and all the defense has to do is stop the Giants with 53 seconds left and they give a touchdown. There is nothing wrong with a long drive in the playoffs......some people on here are searching for excuses for the lost

Yes the fans were good mostly. I still don't get the stupidity of quite a few Cowboys fans, making noise, albiet encouraging noise at the end of game, when Cowboys were on offense.

I also saw quite a few Cowboys fans, almost get into fights with some Giants fans trying to crow about their team after the game. But I would say I don't think percentage of Giants was less than 5% or so.

I can understand the disappointment of it but don't really know why Cowboy fans would be shocked.

The two regular season games were closer than people wanted to remember and apparently those same folks thought our play over the last 4 weeks would also be rectified yesterday.

I was certainly hoping we would right the ship but I was very concerned the mediocre play would linger or show up in stretches. It did. Combine that with a NYG team every bit as good as the ones that played us close earlier and... VOILA!

If you paid attention the last several weeks, with an open mind, you understood yesterday's events were entirely possible.

Was there hope with 2:00 to go and the ball in Romo's hands? Yes. But even then, you had to realize we were far more likely to play that last drive like we'd played the rest of the 2nd half (quite poorly) rather than the like the magical offense we played during the seasons first 13 games.

I kept hoping that team from week's 1-12 would reappear but fully realized it may not happen. So no, I wasn't shocked by the outcome at all.

Just extremely disappointed.
