At what point do we draft an upgrade for Cooper Rush?

I'd like to see it this next draft. He won 4 games for us but he was regressing each game.

Hendon Hooker probably falls a long way being 26 next year and coming off ACL. Mayfield and Darnold likely FAs as well.

I don’t think we need to move on from Rush. He gives you exactly what you need in a backup.

The real question is when this franchise starts to think about the future post-Dak. That’s when you draft a prospect that you develop with idea of him becoming a starter and supplanting Dak.

That said, I do think Rush is free agent after the season so that may force our hand.

No to Mayfield. He isn't that good and is a headache. You don't want your backup to be a disruption.

It's wise to draft a QB prospect in rounds 4-7 pretty much every draft.

I’d 100% be open to drafting a developmental QB in the mid rounds.

Be looking for the next Dak every draft. Big, strong athletes with college production that just need polish and technique work.

Only draft one if you think they have starter upside, even if they're super-unlikely ever to get there. But that's what late rounds picks are for: low probability but high upside.

I'd like for them to re-sign Rush, and fill other holes via the draft because their going to lose quite a few FAs.
