not so sure. detroit had a decent OL people dismiss it as if they were garbage... don't get me wrong., despite everyone saying Dallas line being out of this world. given the only player out of the dallas group to make it to HOF was Larry allen. Emmitt was responsible for their success more so than the otherway around. I mean Tuenei, Stepnoski a 260 lb center. and Newton ain't that much to write home about. Emmitt made them, not the other way around.Barry Sanders. If he had played for Dallas back in his prime............... holy geebus.
Barry averaged over 1600 yards per season for 9 seasons. If he had played 14 seasons like Emmitt he would have beaten Emmitt by over 5000 yards.
with that said, Barry was like a home run hitter in baseball, but he struck out a lot. Emmitt was more like derek jeter, consistent. Jeter didn't make the highlights on ESPN much, they mostly show the home runs.
