I think we want Atlanta to loose because even if we loose we will be tied.

If the Falcons lose and we lose, we're still in the 6 seed. If the Falcons lose and we win, then we've got some breathing room for the 6 seed.

If we finish with the same record as TB, we get the 5 seed they get the 6 seed because of the Head-to-Head tiebreaker.

If we finish with the same record as ATL, then it goes to NFC contests for the tiebreaker which means we absolutely have to beat NYG and PHI to maintain our NFC record, and THEN the tiebreakers go to win pct against common opponents.

Yeah true. Then we can get in at 10-6. How funny would it be to get swept by the Gmen only to eliminate them in the playoffs?

Abraham is still a beast.

If he hadn't been hurt in college I think he would have been as good as Ware. He's never recovered completely from that.

Griese just watched the rush...he has no interest in getting a first down.

A tie is probably the worst case scenario for Dallas.

I figured a tie was going to be like a loss for both. Can you please explain why its bad.

We want Atlanta to win. Last 2 games are tough for Atlanta. Tampa's is a creampuff. We own tiebreaker against Tampa. We win tonight after Tampa loses, we're #5.

Simple, Atlanta needs to win. Period.

In regards to winning percentage, ties do not hurt like a loss. If there was a tie, Tampa bay could be 10-5-1 and if we're 10-6 they get in.

Well, ATL is about to. Already in FG range.

Still, they barely beat a Brian Griese-led team at home. Pretty lousy.

What's a tie do to our playoff position?

Dallas currently owns the tiebreak against both Tampa and ATL. A tie negates that. Dallas loses to the NYG tonight and they are behind both teams, with no hope of ever catching Tampa (assuming they beat OAK).

For those rooting for ATL, why? Tampa isn't losing at home to SD or Oak. SD is done and Oak sucks.

Dallas's best chance, besides winning out, is for Min to beat ATL next week. So why not just root for it to happen now?
