Atmosphere in new stadium?

I know many people complain about how Texas Stadium is laid back, people go there to be seen not heard, etc, etc, and I tend to agree, though, the stadium can rock against teams like Philly or Washington.

Now, the new stadium, what will the atmosphere be like? There will be 20,000 more people, but it'll be larger, and looking at the schematics and finished renderings, it looks like you'll have enough space to stretch out and not touch your neighbor, another factor is that many of the seat prices are outrageously expensive(PSL's) that Joe Blow the brick layer can't afford to go to the games.

Just looking for some feedback from people in the heart of Cowboy land who get more information on this than me.

I think the atmosphere will be better (although the games I have been to, it's been pretty loud).

I think having the ability to close the roof, and have air conditioning during the early part of the season will help, a LOT. Texas Stadium has horrible ventilation. It gets very hot in there, and there is no circulation, at all, which makes it much worse.

Last year I went to the home opener vs the gints, it was so hot in there, that by the end of the first qtr., both Cowboys fans, and Giants fans alike, were sitting down, or just standing there, looking like they were about to pass out. Of course, it doesn't help that bottle water was like 4 dollars, either.

It's going to be LOUD. Can you say "pumping in sound?" :D

Plus, I would tend to think more and more people would be more willing to get loud, since it won't be 100 degrees in the sun, with no breeze hitting you, like it would get at Texas Stadium sometimes.

Well that's gonna ruin a good way to kill time during those boring 3rd quarters.

I'm out!!

Ugh, you've apparently not gotten quotes on masonry work lately.

I drove past it yesterday for the first time in months and it is no less than spectacular. The glasswork is particularly dazzling already and the archtectiture in general is going to set new standards of excellence in sports venues.

Them fellers walking round on the top of the roof right now(still not closed) have really large ones, I'm telling ya...

I may have to grab the camera this weekend, and make the drive over there, and take a few pics. From what a few co-workers, who live in the area told me, it's looking really, really, nice.

I can't wait to see a game there. As I stated before, if it doesn't feel like it's a 1000 degrees in there, and I'm sure it won't, I think it will be much, much louder in there.

The glass looks amazing. I wish I could go look at it again. Maybe Thanksgiving.

I don't know if a pro game will ever beat the absolute insanity of sitting in the student section at a large D1 school. I currently go to Arkansas, and there is nothing like it. But, a pro game is more exciting due to the playmakers on the field and equality of the teams

SEC games are pretty crazy. I don't think there's much difference in the stands as there is OUTSIDE the stadium, with the tailgating.
