You're right...ALL BY HIMSELF

ok, and half of that was due to mcbriar's exceptional directional kicking ability but he shouldn't go either right?

1) I'll only vote for those Cowboys that I feel deserving... it's beyond asinine to believe that the Boys should put 20 players in the Pro Bowl... K. Davis, McBriar, Ayodele, Barber and Ratliff are not deserving, period... Ayodele?? Are you kidding me??

2) Stuffing the ballot box the way you advocate will only have limited effect on the outcome, since the fan vote is only one third of the overall vote...

If you thought I'd respect, or appreciate, your voting over 300 times, you're quite wrong... that's the same thing people in China do to make sure they get to see Yao Ming in the NBA all-star game (and I'm told they're doing the same for the rookie Chinese player this year), and as far as I'm concerned, it does nothing but cheapen the game...

I do appreciate that you're a fanatical Cowboys fan, but that's as far as I can go...

For the most part I agree with you, but I totally disagree on 2 players - McBriar should definitely be in and I also feel that Keith Davis should be in. The difference between our special teams with and without Keith Davis is night and day - he's truly a difference maker, even with his torn muscle.

I don't recall saying either one shouldn't go. Just merely pointing out a minor exageratioin.

Keith Davis is the only special teams player this season to singlehandedly shut down the most dangerous kick returner in the league and arguably of all-time. he should go.

1 game earns you a Pro Bowl bid?? Besides, it's quite ridiculous to say that Keith "singlehandedly" shut down Hester... he had exactly one tackle in that game, and one forced fumble...

REALITY shows us that the Cowboys rank 26th in covering punts, allowing 10.8 yards per return, 12th in covering kickoffs, allowing 22.5 yards per return... their kick cover teams are adequate, their punt cover teams are bad... NOBODY on their cover teams deserves a Pro Bowl bid...

Jay Ratliff is a backup DT playing NT in a 3-4 who CONSTANTLY gets pressure on the quarterback while solid in the run and has been doing it constantly since Fergie went out. Spears and Canty have only been coming into their own here recently. Ratliff should definitely go.

20 tackles, 1.5 sacks... there's no way those are Pro Bowl numbers... I've already showed where he ranks among NFC DTs in both categories... there are others more solid versus the run, and others who get more pressure on the QB...

I meant to add Barber to the list with Ayodele in my previous post and I didn't realize Matt was so far behind in stats to Johnson and Jones.

Well, you met me halfway, I wish I could compromise with you on Ratliff and Davis, but I stand by my conviction that neither is Pro Bowl-worthy...

What makes you think I'm upset?? Stating your argument forcefully does not necessarily suggest anger... actually, I'm more AMUSED at the homerism behind voting for 20 Cowboys to go to the Pro Bowl (even as I personally voted for 15 of 'em)...

Not when others have been better...

You act as if us saying that a given player doesn't deserve to go to the Pro Bowl is the same as us saying that player is BAD... McBriar is a very good punter, but he doesn't belong in the Pro Bowl... Keith Davis is a fine special teams player, but he doesn't belong in the Pro Bowl... Jay Ratliff has been a revelation at NT this year, but he doesn't belong in the Pro Bowl...

I have listed the statistical reasons why neither one deserves a Pro Bowl berth this year... I won't list them again, other than to note again that your "difference maker" has "led" his special teams to rank 12th in covering kickoffs, 26th in covering punts... while they might have done worse without him, they weren't good WITH him...

IMO, the Pro Bowl berth for special teams ought to go to the best special teams cover guy on the NFC team that did the best job covering punts and kickoffs... that leaves out any Cowboy...

Using this line of thinking, we could say that the Cowboys should not send any DBs to the Pro Bowl since there pass defense is not #1 in the NFL....

Point being: you can be a Pro Bowl worthy caliber player even if your team isn't performing well in a certain area.
