I posted a thread a couple of weeks ago about this, but I wanted to start a new one this weekend for everyone who typically are not logged-in to the forum during the week.

The Television show Build It Bigger that airs on The Science Channel is starting a new season on Monday. This new season will feature a one hour show about the construction of the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The first airing is Monday night April 20th at 10 PM and will be rerun four times next week.

Here's the blurb from the website:

Show Title: Dallas Cowboys Stadium

Premiere: April 20, 2009

Behold the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium. 3 million square feet. 73 acres. Costing over $1.1 billion dollars. Room for 100,000 fans. Join host Danny Forster as we explore the largest football stadium ever constructed in the United States.
Here's the link to the schedule... and a three minute video with Emmitt Smith, Stadium Architect and host Danny Forster previewing the show.

Enjoy! :grin2:

You do know this isn't a series right?

It's just a one time thing. And maybe they revisit when it's finished.

yes, it was amazing footage...but i too was wanting more of those things....more of the concession areas, locker rooms, even the offices

That show is about the science of how it's built. It wasn't meant to be a tour.

thank you for providing the program via YouTube format in its entirety dcfanatic.

I realize that. Just poor choice of words On my part. I didn't think any television network or station would waste an entire series on the Dallas Cowboys exclusively any more than they would a bridge, tunnel, or high rise building.

Peace! :)

P.S. I enjoy your radio talk show alot. Keep up the great work.

Fantastic - Thanks soooo much for posting - DCFanatic!!!!!!!!

I watched it last night and again today. All I have to say is WOW!

If I ever go there, I'm going to try and find that little piece of scrap metal that they put under that huge door panel.

That is amazing....

My plan is to go to where the big huge arches are connected to the ground. I think they said each foundation will support 2 million pounds or something like that. I want to take a picture that makes it look like I am helping to support that arch and lifting it up :D

I've seen all those things that they said could fit inside that staidum...

Unreal...

Do we think God is going to be upset that this 'largest HDTV in the world' is going to obstruct his view of the field?

:)

I can't believe the places some of the workmen had to go to...I am scared of heights so seeing people up that high blows me away.

The guys on the roof made me cringe!

Only thing I don't like is when the doors open, the exposed metal on the doors and under the bleachers don't look very appealing.

Pretty clever of them to put a star on top of the videoboard, since it will be blocking (the blimp's) view of the field star.

Did we build a courtroom in the dungeon to accommodate visiting iggles' fans?
