I have wanted to post this for several weeks now but never really got around to it.

One of my favorite things about this years Cowboys team is how close the players are with each other, especially between the offense and defense. Watch how when our offense scores a TD many times it is a defensive player who is first to congratulate them on the sideline and the same when roles are reversed.

Wade Phillips made every player have a locker next to someone opposite of their side of the ball. He has these guys looking out for each other. I have seen Marcus Spears hanging out with Brad Johnson on the sidelines having a good time, Hamlin giving high fives to Tyson Thompson and Romo chuckling with Ware. There have been many more examples of teammates with no positional relationship showing gratitude to each other and thats one thing I have not seen on this team in a long time.

This may not seem like anything big but considering that just last year we had guys brawling in the locker room over high priced t-shirts shows that Wade's approach to team chemistry is working very well. I mean we got T.O. talking about how much he supports his defense!

Have any of you out there seen this too?

Yes, it's one of the more enjoyable non-skill things about this team. You not only hear them talking about being a real team all the time, you can actually see it on and off the field.

100% agree. We actually are looking like a genuine team this year, which we haven't seen in a long time.

Wade brought something to the table. Look how bad it was last year under BP. I swear if the team was Pirates BP fat *** would of walked the plank in a mutiny.

Now look at the chaos in San Diego. That defense is in shambles.

All the Wade doubters should be thankful we hired him.

I did notice that during the game and saying the same thing to myself, I didn't see much of that last year, but it could have been the media not showing it.

Yeah, I saw that watching NFL network. Witten's locker is next to Ayodle's.

The other thing you forgot to mention, how the players insisted that Wade breaks up the huddle after the game in the locker room, and Wade seemed happy that he was asked. Did any of you guys catch that?

Its not just about being happy, this is something that started way back in training camp and the proximal cause is that Wade encouraged these guys to know each other. He forced every player to have a locker next to someone they normally would not be next to in most pro locker rooms.

Why would that matter? Guys get to talking while getting ready, asking how practice went afterwards and next thing you know they are rooting for each other and then you get a 24 year old defensive tackle interested in the well being of our Punter.

Now your not just accountable to your coaches but your accountable to a much more powerful force, your teammates.

Canty, Newman spar after prank

[SIZE=+1]After rearranging each other's lockers, punches thrown, order restored

IRVING – What started off as a prank Friday turned into a scuffle between Cowboys defensive end Chris Canty and cornerback Terence Newman, according to multiple sources.
Canty played a prank on Newman before practice by taking the cornerback's clothes out of his locker and throwing them on the floor, the sources said. When Newman returned to the locker room after practice, he asked who did it. When told it was Canty, Newman proceeded to take the clothes out of Canty's locker and throw them on the floor.
After Canty returned to the locker room and found his clothes on the floor, he was told Newman had returned the prank. A heated exchange occurred, and Newman and Canty each threw a punch. Their teammates quickly broke up the scuffle.
Sources said there were no lingering effects between Newman and Canty.
It's the second time this week Canty has been involved in an incident with a teammate.
On Wednesday, Canty got into a scrap with Cory Procter on the practice field, two days after coach Bill Parcells questioned Canty's status in the starting lineup.
"They are only fighting guys they know; that's not a test of your manhood," Parcells said at the time. "It's when you fight somebody you don't know."
The fight between Canty and Newman comes two days before one of the biggest games of the season when the Cowboys take on the Saints.

The main thing I've noticed in attitude, is we have that flare, that swagger back. Watch our players after big plays.

They're finally showing emotion, something that this team NEVER played with last year. And that trickled down from the coach. Now, after big plays they're getting up and having some life, and energy to them. That goes a long way during the course of a game. You become more confident, and the more confident you are the faster you play.
