Its the little things that New England does so well.
When Cromartie made the endzone int. Check how many NE players quickly became defense players and tackled him. Not allowing him to hit the sidelines for a TD.

Against Dallas he would go all the way for a score...Attitude.

Ditto the 3rd and short stop by Seau in the redzone that held the Chargers to a FG is another prime example.

Give the Cheaters credit-when the going gets rough, they know how to step on the gas peddle.

Unfortunately, this Dallas team doesn't have this same kind of attitude.:(

That attitude is projected to the feild by players like R.Harrison, Seau, Brushki, Welcher

That type of guy also takes care of the things quietly in the locker room, so that they dont become Media stories......distractions.

alot of them a "little bit" chippy, maybe even dirty......but it sets the tone

Attitude on our kick coverage teams (ala Hostile Improv 2008) thread is a must........mabey it was Crickett and P.Watkins along w/ KD.......

I agree with the attitude but what?

How did our offense get dragged into this thread?

When it rains it pours

It was a dumb play by Cromartie. Should have grounded it in the endzone.

attitude alone does not win championships - having said that - we need a shot in the arm in the attitude dept.

Another time was when the Chargers stripped the ball from the Pats receiver and two Pats offensive players were right there to recover the fumble.

I was like, "Man, those guys are always in the right place at the right time." But that's coaching not luck.

Kosier and others did the same thing in our games. Do not fall into the trap of making the Pats more then they are.

Our team lacks Vet leadership. Flo, TO, Ellis, Roy, Tnew, Ayodele, Glenn are hardly leaders. And it shows in December, year after year.

I'm all for signing a few Vet leaders that have rings....

Why drag TO and Newman into this discussion?

I do agree we need some vet leadership. The 4 captains of the Cowboys are Tony Romo/Jason Witten/Brady James/Keith Davis. No problem with any of them but on most teams their captains are older/more experienced who ensure all players follow the rules and those older players/captains enforce them. We don't have any players like that and I don't believe our young team seems Ellis as that kind of leader either. We also can forget about any OL as a leader; same goes for RWilliams, Newman, Ware, Ratliff, Candy, Spears, Ayodele, etc. None of these guys seem to have the personality to lead. So we back again to it all falling on those elected captains & maybe Hamlin & TO to get the job done.

I wonder if Jerry has any thoughts on this subject or whether nobody in the Cowboy organization considers it a problem. If they do then Jerry will sign a FA vet whose got playoff/SB experience with the reputation as a great leader who has the personality and by his play ensures the team has the necessary intensity and sets some rules to be followed, i.e., don't talk crap (Crayton), don't do anything to distract the team cause it comes first, etc.

Ellis had the chance to become a leader, but his absence due to injury and then his long whine bout' money took that away......

probably just cemented thoughts with the young players.....it is just about the money...........:p:

Bingo! I think Ellis is not a leader. How can someone lead who is always asking for a new contract or to be traded.

Correct. Attitude or heart (semantics) plus talent does. Dallas has one and I think we all know which one it is.
