Wow, and they gave up next to nothing for him!

If Yao, McGrady and Artest can stay healthy next year (and out of trouble, in Artest's case) then this has to make them serious contenders in the West.

You don't think giving up two first round picks is nothing?

Apparently, they're trading this year's pick Donte Green for him.

I hate it. Tho I did hear this morning they might get Patrick Ewing Jr. in the deal. That would console me a little bit.

Ummm, giving up 2 1sts for a guy that has a year left on his contract (not guaranteed to re-sign) is next to nothing??

It'll make them very tough but they did give up a lot even though the 2009 1st should be a late one.

Has Artest been in trouble the last couple of years? I don't recall hearing much from him in a while.

Nope, nothing since the brawl at the palace. He's been a pretty good guy with the Kings.

He could have opted out of his contract this year and became a free agent but didnt, for who knows what reason but it sure helped the Kings!

Artest>2 late 1st round draft picks

For ONE year? I dont think so.

Artest is going to want big money after this year when he's a FA.

Oops. Sorry, I must have missed that part...

Though, those should be late 1st round picks, hardly the "sure thing" they are in the NFL.

Actually there were several minor incidents. Got in trouble for not feeding his dogs, and there were several domestic dispute 911 calls from his house. He was suspended at the beggining for the season for one of those infractions.
