Here's Todd Archer during his weekly visit with David Smoak on KTBB Radio...
Archer talks Cowboys with Smoaky
Do the Cowboys know what the heck they are doing when it comes to developing offensive lineman?
Jacob Rogers? Stephen Peterman? Rob Petitti? James Marten? E.J. Whitley? All drafted within the last five years and all gone.
Then we go to the ones that are on the team and we still don't know what they are: Pat McQuistan and Doug Free.
So Andre Gurode is the one guy who the Cowboys drafted who has made an impact as far as being a starter. That stinks and it's simply not the way to build a good football team. Something has to be done to change this pattern immediately.
And the great point that Archer made was when he noted that the Cowboys were in plenty of games last season where they could have thrown McQuistan and Free in the game for a look see and failed to do so.
Instead of seeing what McQuistan could do at Left Guard we got to watch Corey Procter get whipped on a play by play basis. Then we had to watch Flozell Adams work with one arm instead of seeing what the supposed future Left Tackle Free could do in some live action.
Frustrating is only word that comes to mind right now.
