Here Nate Newton drops a nugget about the media relations with the Dallas Cowboys in 2009...

Big Nate - Nov 9, 2009

I can gather three things from this sound clip.

1. Last season the locker was a mess and that team had no shot at any real success because it was fractured to the point where people thought the media were a part of the family known as the Dallas Cowboys.

2. This season the team could care less about anything other than their teammates and making sure they are all focused on winning for one another and not creating useless distractions based on issues that only involve one or two individuals that may hurt the team.

3. The media are doing a job. Think of it like this - 'can't hurt to ask'. The messenger is usually not the problem and in most cases they are just a scapegoat so people can displace blame on the real culprit because in some manner it makes them part of the problem for rooting for such a knucklehead in the first place.

And trust me. None of this means we win or lose a Super Bowl.

But at least it's an environment that can produce a Super Bowl winner.

What say the people of CZ?

Impossible.
The media just made it up. There was peace, love and harmony in the Cowboys locker room.
How do we know?
Because the Cowboys told us that was so. Why would they lie? ;)

I thought you passed out when I played this on the show earlier tonight, lol.
There was a blood rush out of my head to somewhere slightly lower on my body.

I just listened to your hour show, as well as the clip from Nate at the end.

Needless-to-say, I am excited. However, it is a controlled excitement. One false move against GB, Wash, or Oak for the remainder of November and there will be some serious tension in the world of Cowboy message boards, blogs, and whatever have you.

I must say, the attitude is there. If the Cowboys can keep their nose to the grindstone and take these game one at a time, then there will not only be a shot at securing the division title, but make a true run at one of the byes. Remember, Minnesota is only one game ahead of Dallas.

But to have a shot at the bye, the Cowboys need to complete the sweep in November. That is a must. They have to take care of business in Green Bay. Worry about the Commanders next week.

The fate of this team changed on Jay Ratliff's blocked field goal in Kansas City.

Spoken like a true media person :laugh2:
Here is an example of #3.

Even though Nate gives you the scoop about how things were last season he still wants to blame the media for the failures of 2008.
