what i loved, is where nate said, till the cowboys have a premier defensive linemen or big huge NT to pile up the offensive center and guard, the cowboys wont go anywhere. I agree with that, and i think we as fans do too. The Cowboys need a huge NT

I'm all for drafting a big NT. However, Ratliff is a feature defensive linemen. He's an excellent player. The Cowboys' defense needed a safety who could cover a TE and tackle average running backs like the Ravens' backs. Those plays required basic SS play.

The Cowboys need a big NT and another Jay Ratliff type of player, imo. I would go for both in this draft.

What the Cowboys better be concerned about is the left side of the offensive line, too. Kosier is solid, but he can be upgraded. It isn't like they didn't try to replace him with McQuistan. LT is a concern, too. If Adams suddenly loses it or gets hurt, you have trouble. You would have to slide Leonard Davis over there. The Giants wanted to sign him and play him there.

yeah nate said you need the big nose tackle plugger like casey hampton, etc.

nate said that if you looked at top defenses that play the 3-4 they have a big NT, not a small one, im not knocking jay ratlilff, i love jay. But like Nate says, ratliff kinda wears down at end of season since he is only like 275 or so.

nate went on to say, now if you could keep a ratliff at nose tackle, but you need a defensive linemen on the front line creating havoc,

our other 2 defensive linemen like spears and canty werent creating that big havoc, so you need that big nose tackle to help ratliff out

Rat is listed at 298 not 275 and the de's aren't creating havoc by design.

What did Nate say about 3-4 NTs that get 8.5 sacks in one season?

he's better than most NT at rushing the qb but below average at stopping the run compared to Wilfork and Williams and Hampton.

With Canty gone, I just hope Dallas slides Ratliff to Canty's VACANT DE slot, and then draft a huge DT in April to play the nose.
