Colin Cowherd loves talking about Tony Romo...

The Herd - Nov 25, 2009

It is what it is. Until Romo goes out and walks the walk he will have guys like Cowherd running their mouth about him.

Prove them wrong Romo!

Cowturd= loser

I cant even listen to this guy anymore, he's so uninformed and unintelligent about the stuff he talks about thats its a joke. IMO he's really more of a Jim Rome wannabe than anything else. Its really funny when he gets people on to interview who dont agree with his ridiculous takes. He immediately starts changing subjects.

As soon as he started propping Mike Vick as the most dominant NFL player ever, and predicted the Falcons would be a perennial 14-2 team and win multiple super bowls and MVP's, I knew the guy was clueless.

Fanatic, I don't always agree with your cutting tongue, but you are right enough for me always to enjoy having listened to the process. Here, I have to agree with your eyesight of this reporter. I once wrote to him directly through email, asking him if he was aware that the Greek philosphers were in addition to astute in discussion, also possessing of the homosexual trait as well. He wrote me back thanking me for the process of communicating on subject.

I have never squared a like for his perceptions of things. That goes with what I term 'training bra' Engles. Those two just seem to keep my off button activated...even JJT finds socially redeemable aspects to loosten a negative association with.

I'll stop with my rant now....:)

And he's good at it.

I like him and I think he's at his best talking about life perspectives rather than sports perspectives. He's a pretty sharp guy doing what he's supposed to do ...illicit a response...

Which he obviously does.

People can love or hate Cowherd all they want, but Romo will not get the accolades of a Manning, Brady or even Rothlisberger until he wins playoff games and Super Bowls.

We may think he belongs in that company, but we are all diehrd fans. Those outside Cowboy nation will always question Romo until he starts winning in January.

As Fanatic said: it is what it is.

He's a complete IDIOT....

:fact:

He's such a little worm. The guy can't have ever played a sport in his life.

Never has a sports host been more suited to a morning TV show aimed at women. He's like a younger Skip Bayless, only at least Bayless was a writer for the DMN covering the Cowboys for years. Cowherd should be discussing Hollywood gossip and recipes for the holidays instead of the NFL.

Even Cowherd admits he talks about whatever is the most popular and will get him ratings, no matter how superficial and lame the "analysis" is. I can't believe he's as popular as he is.

Is this shocking to you? Everyone radio station will do the same, whatever draws ratings.

ESPN radio has plenty of good shows like The Huddle and Football Tonight that actually offer some good stuff. Cowherd just offers his dumbed-down flavor of the week, like "Romo is too Hollywood", blah blah blah.

Colin is actually pretty sharp. But he's a shameless front runner, that's his schtick. And he's a bit of an online narcissist and sadist. He enjoys talking about how he has a wonderful life, and he enjoys making fun of the people who listen to him. His mockery of his own audience is often brutal.

More than anything, he's out to tell you that you're a schmuck who can never compare to the number 1s in this world. (He divides people into number 1s and 2s. Guess which side of this aisle Colin sits on? Guess which side of the aisle you sit on?) And in terms of football, USC is better than your team will ever be and you need to get over it now. In basketball, his lips are surgically attached to the back side of Kobe Bryant and the Lakers are so good you need to get over it now.

He wants to make people mad but not so mad they won't tune away. His general lack of civility towards his own viewing audience, though, usually drives me away in about 10 minutes, unless his Spanning the Globe segment is on. Then he listens to other good reporters and he's tolerable. I like it a great deal when Trent Dilfer is on. Trent makes the show even subtle, more a tribute to Trent than Colin's abilities as an analyst.
