Wade talk on Irvin Show
-----------------

Son of bum.

He shuts up for two months where we think he's coming up with a plan.

Then we here from him that his plan is that it takes four years before you will know if the head coach has a championship plan in place.

And that the team 'still went 9-7 last season'.

:bang2: :bang2: :bang2:

yeah but this hit the nail on the head,

how it pointed to wade, how it pointed to jerry jones, how it pointed to the players like romo not stepping up, and the lack of intensity,

the lack of intensity from the players has been there even when parcells was here, thats the problem, just like Nate said, you have to want too

thats the problem

Isn't 4 years pretty much true with all teams?
not often do you see the 1st year or 2nd year HC take a team to the SB.

He didn't inherit a 3-13 team.

He inherited a playoff team.

And it just happened last season. Two first time head coaches took their team to the Super Bowl.

He inherited an insanely talented team and, thus far, has turned them into a bunch of softies just like him.

Wade Phillips blindsided by negative fans and media. Leaves bad taste in mouth. Must use Scope. Jerry Jones left bad taste in TO's mouth. Going to Buffalo to deliver Scope.

Two second year coaches went to the super bowl. Props to Ken Whisenhunt for turning around the team. Mike Tomlin won with Bill Cowher's team. (A coach, btw, that didn't win a playoff game until his fourth year, and took 14 years to win a super bowl.)

The point is not whether they're first time head coaches, the point Wade is making is that the average coach takes 4 years to do anything. And if you look around the league, it's true for the most part.

I used to like and appreciate your work. Your journalism for the fans by a fan. It was a refreshing change from the constantly negative Dallas media. Now your agenda has grown tiresome, and you are no different from them.

A playoff team? Yes, true that they made the playoffs, at 9-7.
One that the great Tuna took to the playoffs and couldn't win a game either.

Tomlin won a SB off of talent Cowher had a lot to do with, just as people claim Switzer won his [his 2nd year] off of a team Jimmy put together.
Whisenhunt had a great end of the year run, with some great effort by his team. It happens [see NY Giants the previous year].

It's no excuse, but has a lot to do with depth, is injuries. Go back to 1991, Commanders beat the Bills in the SB, stayed healthy all year. Next year, injuries hit them, big time [before salary cap, so depth should have been better] If I remeber right, they didn't even have a 8-8 season, my guess is 6-10 off the top of my head.

If you've read 1 of his posts lately, you've read them all. Put downs, name calling, and tons of whinning and negative remarks regarding the team or coach. His game has gotten real old and it's sad cause he use to do such good work. I see I'm not the only one who noticed.. Sad!!!!

We all know they were both in their second year, but they were first time head coaches. This is Wade's third time as a head coach.

Like I said, Wade didn't come into a team where a coach was fired for having team that stunk up the joint.

That scenario is where you can start flapping about that 4 year BS. And most of the time those teams don't have a Pro Bowl QB returning.

My agenda has never been to do anything more than be a fan and share information while giving my opinion on the Dallas Cowboys. Now because the team is going backwards and I am not willing to run around saying otherwise I am just like the 'big bad media'?

You remind me of Wade Phillips with comments like that, lol.
