"Take Terrell for instance and all that went down. He's probably one of the top 3 hardest workers on the team. As far as coming to work every day and bringing his lunch pale and preparing and busting his butt -- doing all those things. I believe he is in it for one thing (winning). He's made all the money in the world. I don't question whether he wants to win."

i agree i don't know why everyone hates T.O....he's a very hard worker..

Just to be clear, that was a quote from Jason Witten in the audio clip.

I always would. But it takes no effort to skip the op-ed and simply click on the audio file. His complaint was that dc dared to diss TO in his op-ed. Something he can't stand. The forum doesn't work that way. As long as the content is within the rules his op-ed is welcome.

Thanks for the clip, dc.

For the record, here's another player who says that agendas in the locker room weren't the problem and that the problem was preparation, execution, and especially turnovers on the field.

I'm like the Jason Witten of Cowboyszone over here.

Hos, he is not the only one, I just get tired of his agenda driven rants. Obviously he is allowed to say what he wants where he wants, but his schtic gets old. Yes I know I don't have to read it, but its like watching a bad accident you can't take your eyes off of it. Now I find it mostly amusing and usually shake my head when I get done reading any of his posts.

I have a couple of serious questions that have come from reading this topic.

#1: Why is that we (and I say we cause I'm sure I've been guilty of this as well) immediately take someone elses opinions, and thoughts, and label them as agenda driven instead of just giving that person the respect that it's their opinion or thoughts?

If their thoughts, or opinions, on a subject are agenda driven then if yours (or mine if it's me) are the opposite of theirs doesn't that makes yours agenda driven as well?

Agenda driven is the most over used phrase about other posters I've seen here in my near year on this board. It's a message board, for opinions and discussion people (And this goes toward me to keep in mind as well). I can't see how any of this would be getting someones 'agenda' done. Nothing on these forums can bring about change in regards to who is, or isn't, with the Cowboys from season to season so the idea that anyone posts their opinion on here in some 'agenda' driven manner has become one of the most tiring things here.

#2: How in the world can some of you people HATE on one another so much to the point that you drag arguments all over the forums, from topic to topic, when it's with people you've never even fricken met?

I know I don't always agree with Ramp (Sorry Ramp not trying to single you out but you're the first who came to mind for me. :) ), in fact we don't agree a lot, but I don't find the need to hate on the guy in every topic and do my best to make sure I'm never in agreeance with him. In fact I'm sure Ramp is a cool guy and he does say things that I agree with or make me laugh. So I guess I just don't get how some of you get to the point where you're constantly arguing with one another, from topic to topic, and throwing around the stupid 'agenda' tag as often as possible.

Some posters around here act like it's a matter of absolute life and death to make sure that they hate certain other members when they don't even know the people.

Again it's a message board, for opinions and discussion, on a football team. This isn't something that should become so darn important that people show an actual huge dislike, or hatred, for others around here who they don't even actually know.

You give me a roster with '53 Jason Wittens' and I will give you a Championship team at any level of football

I second that DCfanatic.

Jason Witten made his last appearance of this season before heading off into the dreaded offseason on The Ticket today...

Jason Witten on The Ticket

You can't tell me that Jason Witten isn't a big fan of the 'just shut up and play' theory. He says that at times there is a need for some of the players to stand up and say something, but deep down I would bet he feels that if you just 'shut up and play' those times will be few and far between.

Now I have been getting on some players recently because they seem to think the media is a part of the Dallas Cowboys.

Same goes for Witten! While I do like listening to his segment on The Ticket every week I do hope that next season he tells them 'thanks, but no thanks' because everyone of these players needs to be focused more on the little things next season.

And while I say that I would also challenge anyone to find me some clips where Witten is calling out his fellow teammates for poor play or calling out his coaches for their accountability or for their work as an offensive coordinator.

You can look from here to the ends of the earth my friend, they do not exist.

Like Witten says in this clip.

At some point every player on this team needs to buy into the philosophy that it's all about the team first!!!

You give me a roster with '53 Jason Wittens' and I will give you a Championship team at any level of football.

Now we know that's never going to happen because everyone isn't built like that. So at that point it's up to the head coach and the owner to find the right mix of players that can bring this team a championship.

And right now this team doesn't have it at all.

When Witten says 'Shut Up and Play' at about the 5:35 mark I got goose bumps. It's rare that he let's his emotions get the best of him while doing an interview, and I have heard them all, so you know that's coming straight from the kids heart.

Let's hope this team takes all this disappointment, heartache and BS that went on this season and does exactly what Jason Witten preaches at that 5:35 mark in 2009.
It's a little ironic if he is a fan of "just shut up and play" and if, as he seems to be accused of being, is the player in the lockerroom with the loose lips. That'd be pretty two-faced

Sometimes I think he think's the name of this place is 'Bleustarzone.com'.

My agenda is to bring the board info such as articles, audio and videos.

Then I also do what everyone else does and give my opinion on those things.

But because I won't be a 'homer to the 150th degree' I am accused of having agendas, lol.

It's the silliest thing in the world.

Makes you think people don't have a clue what the term 'agenda' even means.

I've known plenty of people in my life who publically build the "right" image but are true back-stabbers privately. So I would not at all be surprised if Witten was the mole. I would also not be surprised if it were T.O. himself, or someone T.O. put up to doing it.

The bottom line is I don't trust the players and what they say anymore because they're subjectively involved, and you never know when they are pulling the wool over your eyes to push their agendas. What I will put more trust in is what former coaches and players turned analysts have to say, because they know the technicalities of the game that other reporters don't, and they are are on hte outside looking in which allows them to be mor objectively involved.

And if you look closely the real football experts are all talking about how Jason Garret failed to adjust to the adjustments defensive coordiantors made on him. That was the first domino to fall, and it happened as early as in the first Washinton game when Garrett was out-coached/schemd-out-of calling a running game or using Felix Jones; and the same out-coaching continued since.

That's the root-cause of all problems Dallas at the end of the day -- that Garrett's incompetence was the first domino to fall, and over time sytematically led to other dominos falling. Everyone wants to blame the last dominos that fell (i.e. T.O. incident) but the novice-reporters who don't really understand the game technically don't want to do their jobs and dig for hte root cause. But the real knowledgable football insiders turned analysts who know football technically all point to Garrett's root-cause failures.

Fix Garrett's root-cause failures, and then many other problems on offense never emerge. One way to fix that is to replace Garrett altogether and upgrade the Offensive Coordinator position. And don't think the Cowboys don't know this technically either; they do, which is why Garrett is allowed to look for other work, and the Cowboys are privately hoping he gets offered it and goes.
