Mike Lombardi is doing some good work over at http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/ which popped up about a year ago.

He got a chance to jump on BaD Radio late last week to talk some Cowboys football...

Good stuff about the players looking to go right past Wade when there is a problem. Some of them don't respect Wade, especially some of the offensive players, and they don't respect their position coaches either.

The players see Jerry as their boss just like Lombardi said. I am not sure that can ever lead to a championship with this group of core players. They used to respect Parcells, but when he left they looked to Jerry for direction not Wade.

Ray Lewis can't be 'Ray Lewis' in Dallas and his comparison to Zach Thomas dead on. Thomas was brought in to be a leader and he didn't have any chance in being that type of guy for these younger players. They didn't care about what he did in Miami because Wade never designated him any authority.

Romo must take over this team. I said it a 1,000 times since the season ended and I will continue to say it until it happens.

The media has really implanted this nonsense in the members of this board. Many including myself at times buy this catch phrase garbage and start to believe it. Romo needs to reign it in a little and be more conservative on offense and this team need s to stay HEALTHY.

Then all these media bite, catch phrases will change to: Dallas has a united lockerroom. They have really bonded during the difficult stretches of the season. TO has become the model teammate. The team really plays as a group. The coaches have changed their approach. Garrett and the wr's are on the same page.Jerry has stopped MEDDLING!

well he is a lifelong scout and being so I am sure he knows many of our scouts and other people in the organization, not to mention he said he is a friend of parcells and belichick and talks to parcells often.

So when he speaks to how the organization is run, I am pretty sure parcells knows how that goes. Remember, parcells drafted jacob rogers and stephen peterman, he used to coach here.

So I would say for starters, those are good sources, NO?

I seriously doubt Ray Lewis would be waiting around for Wade to designate him any authority. He would command respect from day one. I am kind of on the fence about Ray Lewis because of his age, but he might be the strong personality this teams needs, he wont put up with any BS in the locker room.

Put up with it? HIs prescence and personality would create more BS here. And nobody walks into another teams locker room and becomes the instant leader, it doesnt work that way. See this years jets for example.

As to how the current situation is with regard to Wade and Jerry and the players? No, not at all.

There are enough canary's at valley ranch that I dont think you even have to be a former scout to be able to get information. But he is and must have a ton of contacts on each team. WHen you spend as much time in the league as he has I am sure he has a number of guys he can talk to about most teams.

I think there's a whole slew of guys (like Jason Cole) that are just reporting from the sidelines, without any real sources from inside the organization. Heck, even the guys that have inside sources have been getting false information lately. Lombardi said that he was absolutely certain TO was getting cut. Yet, Jerry says otherwise. I just think the guy's full of baloney. And it's odd that he's come out of nowhere reporting about the Cowboys.

Former players themselves have said they used to go to Jerry for "Favors". When Deion wanted to skip a practice he wouldn't tell the coach, he'd go straight to Jerry.
