Jay Ratliff talked about the OTA's, Wade Phillips and more on KTBB Radio with David Smoak today...

Ratliff on KTBB Radio

Makes things happen. Get everyone on the same page. Do the right things. Everything has been worked out. Heading in the right direction.

Those are all the things I wanted to hear.

Any difference in Wade? Ratliff answers no.

That's not what I want to hear, but it is exactly what I expect to hear from everyone. Wade isn't changing who he is and that entire BS line we heard after the Eagles game is old news now. Wade is Wade. My hope is that the players take over this team.

Ratliff believes in chemistry being a big part of a team having success. I agree 100%.

Scandrick. He's looking to take that other starting CB job from Mike Jenkins. You can feel it in his interviews. I think he was a little annoyed that the Cowboys asked him to be the 'Star' safety in the defense because in a way it was saying that they didn't think he was good enough to battle Jenkins. I just want the best CB of the two on the field opposite Newman when the season begins.

I really like where the secondary is now and where it's headed. Even though some parts are raw and inexperienced I do think there is enough talent there to get the job done.

I really like Scandrick i remember watching inside the huddle last season when he was on and during one of the breaks he got into it with a steelers fan it seemed like the guy was offended by the fact that someone wore a Steelers jersey

In the preseason he was out there really hitting people

Scandrick is a future star in this league

exactly DC, what wade has been peddling since last game of last year is BS;

now i do think finally some players will step up and be leaders this year;

and with joe decamilas doing like he does, chewing players out etc;
then some other coaches will step up too

Dc, this is what i think; when it was reported that flozell adams had 2 false steps in practice, and we all heard where wade said, we need to do some things the right way, the exact way, well, wade 2 false steps by flozell again, and you let him get away with it;

is that being or doing things the right way Wade, thats sloppy football again;

Finally listened... That was a very encouraging interview. He said everybody got together and talked things out, and everything from last year has been worked out among each other.

Also said that Joe Juraszek said this was probably the hardest working group of players he'd ever had. They all have a great head on their shoulders and work extremely hard -- you never have to tell them to pick it up. That's awesome.

BTW... Smoak asked if the head coach was different and Jay said "not really" and then continued on about other things. That was all Jay said about him -- literally a couple seconds of a ten minute interview. They talked more about Hawaii, the media blowing up a comment of his last year, and working out at the high school stadium.

yep, was a good interview, i will try and keep you guys posted up when jay and other dallas cowboys players are to be interviewed by smoaky

as you also noticed, jay said that one media guy told something about jay that wasnt true, and most dallas cowboy players are now getting wise to which reporters to talk to and what ones not to talk too
